Are you tired of the same jackass attacking you repeatedly? Many players have encountered what is known as a bully and it's not fun. A bully will load you up on AttackX by Team Spockholm or Brawler by Arun's Mafia Helpers and attack you all day and all night. They won't care that your gaming experience is now miserable.
When this happens, you can't get your health to stay above 20 and are unable to attack other players or perform Boss Fights. The only options to stop this behavior have been to ask you mafia to return the favor, have somebody strong enough to beat your bully do the same, or use the Switch bookmarklet to get their Facebook profile ID and beg them to stop. Zynga has recognized this problem and it appears they are doing something about it.
The following information was sent to me by an anonymous unidentifiable source. I wasn't able to verify this information and was told that Zynga is not advertising it. If you or someone you know has a bully problem, create a Zynga Customer Support Ticket or use the Live Chat Option and ask about the new feature. Please comment here if you get more details.
WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM
The Witness Protection that is for players that are the victims of repeated attacks. Customer Support dictates who will be eligible for this program and only selected agents can add them. Once a player is added, there will be a button to enroll located on the profile page.
people who are repeat attacked are most often attacked for a reason. this is silly in my opinion, unless it was to be investigated fully as to whether the complainant is a twat or not
ReplyDeleteGetting repeatedly attacked is easily remedied by banking your money. If the attacker doesn't get money from you, then he's not likely to continue attacking repeatedly. Exception being that you may be a 501 mafia and he's trying to get the high end 501 fight loot off of you.... This witness protection program sounds like it's being created for the ultra whiners who can't deal with the simple reality that unless you take precautions, such as banking your cash or building your mafia, you are going to get targeted. Too f'ing bad. It has long been standing that if one particular individual attacks you over and over, day after day, Zynga defines that as abuse and is supposed to deal with it. Did they suddenly change their definition or how they deal with abuse? This is just another in a long line of Zynga customer relation and game mechanics fails.

I don't want Z fiddling with my acct anymore than they do now. This will get you unwanted attention to your own play patterns. If you run any sort of helper scripts it may get you a vacation from the game. Secretsquirrel
ReplyDeleteI won't use this feature but have been the victim of a bully. My health is rarely above 50 and usually 20. I have 4000+ mafia and over level 600. Couldn't tell you the last time I attacked or robbed someone so it can't be that. I get attacked by people lvl 1400 and above. Sometimes bullies sometimes not. I believe in what the Loot Lady says that I was loaded into that attack system and to me that is cheating. Call me a whiner if you want but I think it is pretty low to do that. Most of this has happened to me since My Space players merged with FB MW. I've about had it with the whole thing. Now they are pushing and rewarding you for spending you $$. Seems like they are pushing credit card players and that about does me in.... done

ReplyDeleteI'm a relative newcomer AND a victim of a bully. I'm a level 140. for 2 weeks now, I have had a level 1500+ attacking me up to 150 times a day. I did not attack him and have robbed almost no one. I believe I was added to his sh*t list because of a random choice I made on the fight list. One of the people I attacked spent several days attacking me in response--he lost every attempt. The moment he stopped, this level 1500 bully started. I did nothing to him, did not provoke him, and do not feel that my not liking this earns me a whining title.
The witness protection program is not cool--it has been offered to me. In order to take advantage of it, I remove myself from being able to do any robbing, fighting, or helping others with attacks for a 24 hour period while I am in protection. after 24 hours, it all goes back to what it was--which I assume means he would start up again and my only options would be to go back into hiding and not be able to play or continue to put up with it.
I am building my mafia, my inventory, etc as quickly as I can, but asswipes likes this guy make the game unpleasant and no, I didn't bring it on myself.
They ought to consider it abuse and stop it, but since they won't, I'll move on with the goal that one day I'll be stronger than the bully. Oddly enough, he is a level 1500+ but a very weak one--only 83 mafia--won't be long before I can let him have a taste of his own medicine.

ReplyDeleteThe problem really isn't for people who are getting attacked by lots of players, or getting attacked by the same player 150 times in a day.
ReplyDeleteI can attack someone, oh, lets see....around fifteen THOUSAND times a day if I set up my account to do that. That player will NEVER be above 20 health for more than a couple minutes AT MOST, and that's just cause I'm not a fighting account. A fighting account could hit you 5-10 times as much, and you'd be shut down.
Sounds like someone getting hit this way should use the WPP for a week or two, use that time to try to get their account up to snuff (501 mafia, more defense, etc etc), and by that time they'll have probably been forgotten.
Silly folks-- it's a rich mans game. If you dont spend money, your going to get pounded on. If you do spend money, you need to spend more because you'll never be #1. As far WPP-- just an attempt from Zynga to put the whiners within the game somewhere safe for awhile. As far as those who sit on people for lengths of time, I bet its for a very good reason.

ReplyDeleteWhat a joke. Grow the hell up and eithe rplay the game, or move on. I've got 1300 stam, a solid build fighter, and I hit until either I get the ice or kill. If you can't deal with getting beat on, there's always the 'Villes. And I get whupped on by 2K and 3K levels....and I'm only a lowly 828. My advice.....put on your big girl panties and deal with it.

ReplyDeleteI think a lot of peolpe who do not like this post is because they do not see what is wrong with a level 2k attacking a level 80 over 2k times a problem. An most peolpe who are doing this are so weak they do not dare try this with in there own level bracket.
ReplyDeleteFor all the people here telling people to shut up and stop their whining, why don't you think a minute why this might be a good program? Take for instance someone I know who is a woman and is being cyber stalked by a male player. She stays dead 24/7. Not only does he kill her repeatedly in the game, he runs hit listing bots to keep her dead. When I get online and kill him, he dives under 20. He does not like getting his ass kicked. But as soon as he knows someone stronger is not around to kill him, he comes out and starts the attacks again. Zynga will do NOTHING about a stalker, they cannot ban someone for playing the game. HOWEVER, they can offer this type of protection to the victim to offer relief. The drawback, however, is that the person in the witness program cannot attack. Once they do, it ends the protection. It is a flawed system, but the only thing Zynga will offer to people who are truly being brutalized by a psycho player.

We are a military family that counts every penny so no there is no extra to spend on this silly game which means yes at almost level 800, my personal att/def over 2k, & my mafia'a att/def both over 1k I do on a regular basis get my butt handed to me. You will never beat the plastic players if you don't spend it yourself so just get over it & play the dang game. I too have had a problem with a bully but went through the proper means to deal with it which Zynga took care of like champs! If it is a cyber stalker then no it would be FB you should turn to. Other then that this is just a game after all so really people c'mon!!! Why get so worked up over being iced?!?!?! As it was so correctly said earlier "Put your big girl panties on & get on with the game!" You play, you rob, you ice, then you get iced! Deal with it!

ReplyDeletethe idea of this is that there is people that will get really nasty and not let you play the game and that is not fair for a lot of us im not a whinner but i have been bullied by a really high lvl player just because i hit him in a war. i was bullied for 4 months straight i couldnt play the game at all. I dont care about the money or nothing but not being able to play is annoying. Apparently the people that are commenting here havent been bullied or are bullies themshelves Hmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteso there's a little thought... if zynga is really that much against the bullies, why did they invent the rival list? now it's so much easier to come back every day, go to your rival list and kick the guys ass over and over again.

Cyber bullying is a serious problem, it has nothing to do with not "having a set" or lacking "big girls panties". We are not talking about getting iced, kill and be killed in regular play, I am talking about 'one player' owning a large credit card and able to spend several thousand dollars to get his account to platinum level with combined attacks over 30k. The disturbed bully likes to take the pleasure out of normal play by sitting on two or more players, icing them continiously, getting up in the middle of night to declare war on his victims. These attacks are very personal and vindictive. Zynga's advice? Get out your CC and spend a few thousand to acquire RP's so you can build up your account to the bullies level and retaliate. Sherm Cooper... yes you are a sad, sad specimen of a man.
ReplyDeleteIt has nothing to do with being hit x amount of times until I'm iced or killed, it has to do with level 1000 pounding on level 100+ for no other reason than because they can. There are bullies in real life as well as there are in mw. I ice and move on, I don't "sit" on a player and do nothing else then attack just that one person, unless that is what that person is doing to me.
