Many players think that they aren't getting twice the loot this weekend as advertised by Zynga.
The reason is simple, Zynga doesn't tell you how much loot you are getting while you fight. They only show you a sliding image but there are no quantities. This is a flaw of the new Fight Module and I asked about it on the forums way back in June.

Can we please be notified of how many loot items we are getting with the new Fight Module. All we see is a image with no quantity. According to my stats, when fighting in Brazil, I'm getting 5 loot items (when the Power Attack button is used and my opponent is in Brazil) yet I only see one of them on my fight screen. Can you either have 5 images, add a X5 icon or put a border around the image like you do in Brazil jobs when the Lockpick bonus is activated? Thank you. __________________ |
Zynga said it was a good point and they would be addressing it. I guess they forgot.
A direct result of Zynga not doing anything about the issue is many players think the 2X Fight Loot weekend is a scam or a screw up. You can see on your fight screen that you get a loot items, you just aren't told how many.

Because Zynga doesn't tell you the quantities of loot, fight script logs won't either. Martin did find a way for the Brazil loot log to be accurate. The Assassin-a-Nator will check to see if your opponent is in Brazil (providing you are as well) and multiply the loot drop by 5. Team Spockholm doesn't rewrite the code for weekend events so your loot logs won't reflect what you actually got. The best work around to this is to run an Inventory History before and after a fight run. Here is a short run of 2067 stamina done in New York. Here are the comparisons of the loot log and what was added to my inventory of a few select items. You can see I did get twice the loot, I just wouldn't have known about it unless I checked my inventory before and after.
Another thing Zynga has failed to do is update the Fight Loot Rewards Page. This would make comparing a lot easier for players who don't want to use scripts. The Fight Rewards link is on the main Fight Page in the upper right corner.
If you click on it today, you won't see the most recent batch of Fight Loot. I don't know what they are waiting for, Fight Loot was updated on July 13th. This was a handy way to track progress.
Without using a script, players now have to search their inventory and that's not a fun process. You can see this 2X Loot weekend won't do much for me. I have enough of the best fight loot to equip my mafia over 3 times. We are in desperate need of an update!
If you want to easily track your progress but don't want to deal with all the Inventory History runs, use the Inventory Group bookmarklet, also by Team Spockholm. It does want Zynga hasn't bothered to do.

Maybe you are in need of an update, but we people who don't want to use scripts, are still trying to get maxed. As so many people have asked about the missions, give the "normal" players a break, and let us get some loot too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info Jen..And for anonymous above, I use scripts when i have not got the time to sit at a keyboard and manually fight, One thing I have noticed is when I do manually fight I can do it quicker than a script, therefore I gain no advantage other than to have some time for real life, and yes I am maxed out on the loot as well, again not through scripts...
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing about being the "first" person to max out on loot.... you have the longest to wait without an increase in weapon scores before new fight loot comes out.... Zynga can barely keep up with the "normal" players, please don't expect them to keep up with you.
