I gave you a sneak preview of a new Spocklet that is now available on the Spockholm Mafia Tools Experimental Page. It's called Inventory History and what it can do will blow your mind. To start using it, follow the instructions below.
1. Go to the Spockholm Mafia Tools Paged linked above and locate Inventory History.
2. Click, drag and drop Inventory History to your bookmark toolbar.
3. Unframe your Mafia Wars game and from any page click on Inventory History (now located in your bookmark toolbar) once to activate. Since I've already used the tool, the last three snapshots I've taken will be visible. The first time you run it, it will be blank. The initial snapshot will be your baseline.
4. Click on the "Save Snapshot" button to get your current inventory status. You will get a popup notification that the snapshot has been saved. The fourth link is my most recent inventory data. Inventory History can store and save up to about 10 links in Chrome. If you don't need the old ones anymore, click on the x after the link to remove them.
5. Close the program and return to it when you want to check for any changes in your Inventory. Follow steps 1-4 above to get your next snapshot. Click on the last link to find out all the changes in your inventory since the last snapshot. I did a small robber run and bought 6 Lipstick Guns and can see all the new items I acquired.
6. To change the way items are listed, click on the links next to "Sorting" and "Grouping". Here are all the different options. This is very useful after a large stamina or energy run as you can focus on the items you care about without having to look through all the crap.
I compared the data to my robbing log and everything checks out. This will be very useful to players who lose their logs due to unforeseen crashes or unintentional window closings.

For now collection items and boosts don't register but Eike will be adding them soon.
Here are all the statistics Inventory History will tell you. Added, Removed, Changed giftable, Changed stats and Changed number all refer to changes made to any items by Zynga. These are things we would never know unless we spent hours searching through the inventory. Changed numbers are all the items you gained or lost. Usually negative numbers will reflect what you gave away but there will be times when items go missing for other reasons and this will bring it to your attention.
New Biohazardous Crates were added to the inventory today and you can see Inventory History was able to document it.
Traders will love this as it will be a way to tell what has been sent and received. Those time when are trading and your computer crashes while the Chucker is going can really suck. I sent Mike Nestor some gifts you can compare what I sent to what Inventory History tells me.
Here is Mike's Inventory History with his newly acquired items.
If you have questions, check out the 'Help" button. Eike provided the answers you want to know. This is now my favorite tool and I'm sure it will be yours too!

very nice. although useless if you're one of the few players that have forever been blocked from accessing their inventories like i am.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried it? It may be your solution. You don't need to be on the Inventory Page to use it.
