Nothing is worse when you're moving right along in a job about to master it and you get the dreaded popup to let you know that you ran out of a consumable item. It's even more annoying in Brazil because Zynga doesn't tell you how many you have so you can prepare and they don't don't give you a link so you know where to get more. All you get is the option to buy more at the cost of 2 consumable items for 1 Reward Point.
Zynga switched around the consumable items on the Free Gift Page and left us with two, Radio Phones and the Satchel Charges (1).
The good news is other than our 200 Free Gifts per day, they didn't set a lower limit on how many Radio Phones or Satchel Charges we can accept per day. That means you can use the Team Spockholm Link-a-Nator/Bagman-Mugger Combo to collect enough of these consumables to get through Brazil. If you don't know how to use these bookmarklets to accept a lot of Free Gifts, go here. I did a large scan on the Get-a-Nator and copied the short links for Radio Phones.
I then pasted the links into Bagman-Mugger and got 41 Radio Phones.
I double checked my inventory and they were all there.
If you've mastered Brazil Districts 1-5, Radio Phones cost 378 energy each and Satchel Charges cost 648 energy. The total number of Radio Phones needed to complete Districts 6-8 is 304 and Satchel Charges is 168 (1). That's a total of 223,944 energy which you will save by collecting these consumables from Free Gift links.
You will notice that there are still links out there for Gas Cans, Local Informants and Button Cameras. These were the 3 consumable items on the Free Gift Page prior to Districts 6-8 being released. The links no longer work for what's advertised. Gas Can links produce Radio Phones, Local Informant links produce Satchel Charges and Button Camera links produce Construction Workers.

The easy way to see your stock of consumables is to go the workshop
ReplyDeleteBINGO thats what I was going to say WORKSHOP!
ReplyDeleteThewhale
are those total numbers before after double mastery? with only 1knrg all of brazil has been double and needed amount lower
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how many Gas cans, Local Informants, and Button Cameras are needed for 6-8?
ReplyDeleteGas Cans 136
ReplyDeleteLocal Informants 240
Button Cameras 60 (region 7 only)
I go to the workshop to see how many I have but as I finished district 5 of Brazil a long time before regions 6-8 appeared I spent a lot of energy redoing jobs with consumable drops in anticipation of the new cities. I learned my lesson from Italy. Also don't forget to "build" in workshop daily
I think it's pathetic how you cheaters play the game using scripts instead of actually playing the game. It makes me sick that Zynga doesn't have the courage to enforce their TOS and shut down the accounts of cheaters using scripts. This blog should be called MW Cheat Lady. It's really not that hard to play the game for real. All you do is use cheats to quickly whisk through any new content and then whine and complain about events because you actually have to do some playing. Disgusting.
ReplyDeletethink this is a good change, seeing as gas cans, local informant & button cameras are cheaper in energy to go get yourself compared with the satchels & phone. Sad you can't link those 3 anymore though.
ReplyDeleteAs for the sook about scripts... the game's gotten too big to truly enjoy with all the clicking. The time requirement alone makes it impossible to get everything done and still have a normal life! Have only found the scripts & links in the last couple months and they are the difference between continuing on and being an ex player.
