The Assassin Boss Fight: The Raven FAQ by Customer Support was updated to coincide with the news that The Raven is on vacation (1). There are 3 new questions and one provides some interesting news. There is a scheduled Boss Fight this week. That's a pretty big announcement to be hidden in the middle of a Customer Support FAQ. I guess Zynga can't figure out how to have two Boss Fights in the game at the same time so the Raven was shelved and we can expect to see him back in early July. We are also told that there will be proper notification when he returns. I really wish they would get rid of the achievements until they are attainable.
UPDATE:
Q: I keep icing players, but can’t find the Assassin. Where did the Assassin go?
A: The Raven went into stealth mode and flew the coop on 6/20/11. He will likely not return to the game till early July.
Q: Why did the Assassin disappear with no warning?
A: A new boss fight will be released this week. The Assassin gets scared off and flees when a new boss comes to town. This was not messaged properly in the game.
Q: How will I know when the Assassin comes back?
A: The return of the Raven will feature more prominent in-game messaging and provide details on how to fight him.

Oh, NOW he's on vacation???... I thought he was on vacation the whole damn time, since he only showed up once and the disappeared for good... iced a couple THOUSAND victims in that whole time, and the Raven was nowhere to be found... also still illuding me is the Point Reallocation, which I have only been able to capture the very first itme it was offered... the other times it was available while I was sleeping, working, or taking care of my family... I guess that's what I deserve for playing a mere 8 hours per day instead of 24 hours per day... I'm such a slacker...
