Witness Protection Program

Share:

On Sept 12, I wrote about a program managed by Customer Support called the Witness Protection Program (1).  The program is intended for players who are experiencing repeated and unwanted attacks (does anybody want to be attacked?).  Once enrolled in the program, player can opt-out of fighting and will not be able to be attacked.  If you are interested in enrolling, ask a Zynga Customer Support Agent. The Witness Protection Program has yet to be announced or advertised by Zynga.  Mr. Simy0 found the following image so maybe we will get something official with more details soon.  I need to emphasize that the information above came from an anonymous source and has not yet been verified.  The image points us in the direction to believe it's true.

  2. Once you opt out, will you be able to opt back in at some point in time?

  3. I don't like this at all. Fighting is part of the game. If you want to cry about fighting, go play Cafe World or something more your speed.

  4. Is it a joke???? So now, people will be able to att you as much as they want but we wont be able to fight back???? Where do we go?????? I have some farmville's subscription if those ppl need them :.)

  5. It sounds like the won't be able to attack anyone (in addition to not being attacked). Still, I don't like it.

Go play another game if you don't want to be attacked. We all get skill points and get to allocate them as we want. There SHOULD be a trade-off in your decision. If you really don't want to be attacked, allocate your skill points and get better loot to prevent that. Allowing people to 'opt out' of part of the game is wrong.

  7. I think this a trick Zynga had in mind to track down traders and looter/farmer since logically, these are the only type of player that wouldn't want to attack or get attacked. Once these farmers or traders register to 'opt-out', BAMM! they get their account suspended or worse, deactivated.. =.='

  8. There are some players who constantly have their panties in a wad over getting hit a few times. When I first started using brawler, I was hitting people no more than 5 times and you have no idea how many times I ended up on the hitlist for 5 hits.

If they want to opt out, good for them and good for me since I won't have to deal with their whiney butts. :)

  11. @ Charlie... why do you CARE whether someone opts to not fight... if they cant attack you and you cant attack them, how does that affect you one little bit? Unless you are a BULLY that likes to hit people a MILLION times just to screw with them... Your not being logical dude. get off your High horse and grow up!!

  12. @ anon... regarding Kamikaze attacks... I have found a lot of players do this to Ghost. If I have just fought 700 stamina worth and KNOW I am going to be on the fight list for a while, I usually ghost just to be able to do jobs without all my money getting taken while being attacked.

  13. Anonymous > I care because there are already things built into the game for people that feel they are being picked on. There is the hitlist, there is asking your mafia to help you out, there's spending your skill points effectively, etc. I have no compassion for people that whine about getting attacked; I have no compassion for people that are too lazy to make themselves stronger. If they don't like that type of game, there are other games out there that can provide a different type of gaming experience for them.

Caring about something even though it may not impact you personally doesn't make you illogical or 'not-grown-up'.

  14. Part of being in the mafia is the possibility of getting whacked. Now I'm not that much into the fighting part of the game, except to get the few last points it takes to level up, but I don't have any compassion for people who want a kinder gentler mafia. It's not about growing up, it's about playing a game - get it?

  15. Why don't the players just go play farmville and leave us alone.

  16. Whiners should grow crops, water plants, tend to cows...
When did mafia become peaceful farmers !

Allocate skill points or go to farmville ...
