Zynga pulled out all the stops in the creativity and originality departments when they released the latest cross-game promotion involving Zynga Poker and Mafia Wars. I like many others assumed this promotion was the same one that was that started on October 1st. To demonstrate why, I've aligned all the images for the new promotion with the old. The only differences are the colors of the graphics and one key phrase. Mike Nestor verified this by gaining 3 levels on the same account he used to get the first Zynga Poker bonus (1). He received 2 sets of +Attack Points and 10 Hired Guns so it's safe to assume this is in fact a new cross-game promotion. I couldn't find anything to verify this on the Zynga Forum boards as no moderators have responded to player questions about it. Follow the discussion thread titled 10 Hired Guns and +5 Attack Points. again and maybe it will be addressed soon.

Besides the graphics being a different color, the only thing that's been changed is the message prior to starting the promo. "Show Them We Own The Tables" has been changed to "You Feelin Lucky Punk?" I think I know why the Godfather is a little irritated with us. On October 2nd, someone figured out a link we could all use to get the bonus of +5 Attack Points and 10 Hired Guns without having to go through the painstakingly agonizing process of playing Zynga Poker for 3 levels (1). This link no longer works. Since these two Poker promotions have not been the first ones for Mafia Wars (the 2 achievement promos and the win 3 hands a day promo) many of us are at a level in Zynga Poker where it would just take to long to gain 3 more. When are we supposed to find time to play Mafia Wars? I'm sorry but most Zynga Poker players have a very slow jackass style of play and I get too annoyed for the experience to be enjoyable. I was wondering about this. Of course, I thought it meant you would get +5 every time you leveled up 3 times in poker. Being a level 50something in poker it gonna task my patience. I quit playing Zynga Poker because too many iffy players and just doesn't represent REAL poker. I play on Pokerstars and Fulltilt and see Zynga Poker as all in joke fest. :-)
ReplyDeleteAMEN to what anonymous above said. I quit Zynga poker loooooong ago and went to Pokerstars also. Too many all-in idiots, donks, and creepos. At least on pokerstars it resembles the actual game, far fewer donks and far fewer creepos... as in, you can actually play.
