Aug 14-15 No Play, Click or Trade: Update

Share:

It's been 3 days since I wrote about the event No Play, Click or Trade in my article titled More Changes In Gifting.  Since then 7,643 player have  confirmed that they will be attending this event.  I will be one of those attending.  Zynga has completely changed the rules of the game in regards to gifting and this has had an astronomical impact on the Trading Community as a whole.  I have been a part of this community for a while and I see first hand all of the hard work that many of my friends have put into the sites that they created and/or help operate.  Not only do the trading site admins work hard to provide safe trading environments for all players but the traders themselves have devoted a lot of time trading.
I'm willing to break my streak of 191 for the "Most consecutive days doing jobs" because I believe in this cause and can only hope that Zynga will notice and do something to make the players happy again.
A couple of months ago, things looked very positive for the trading community.  It appeared that Zynga wanted to improve the entire gifting system.  This was believed to be true because of a post that was made on The Zynga Forum Boards by Al Catraz, Super Moderator, titled Gifting Feedback.  Many players took the time to offer suggestions and there was much hope for a better gifting system.  As of today there have been 532 replies to this post and it doesn't look like action was taken on any of the player suggestions.
The addition of a "Trading Tab" was also seen on the Beta version of the redesigned game header.
After all this, Zynga implemented changes that made gifting worse then it already was.  The changes have made many players very upset.  Not only did these changes impact the traders, they also have had negative ramifications on the Clan and Script communities.  Clans can no longer provide their members with quality loot and many players are worried that their accounts will be banned for using bookmarklet programs.

Although David Reedy of the Kingpin Trading Market is the creator of the event mentioned above, he did not do this by himself.  This is a collaborative effort initiated by members of the trading community as a whole.  I've discussed the unification of the various trading sites in my article titled Mafia Wars Unified Trade Ratios.  The changes made by Zynga have only strengthened the bonds of all members in the trading community and beyond.

I asked Ram Krish, the creator of The Elite Traders Club , to explain the goal of this upcoming boycott.

"The agenda is to gain support to see how many are not liking the changes zynga are making. Here is an example which might help you understand better:

Making the Bangkok loot not available for wishlist. This means Zynga expects no one should be able to gift these items in a standard gifting way. Since we are either traders or from clans, we send more than 50 items at least. The only means to send those numbers are by using The Chucker. Since, we use The Chucker, its against Zynga policy and now they will have the scope to deactivate an account.

We are planning for a silent protest against this on Aug 14th. We request support from everyone, so that our united voice can reach the deaf ears of Zynga." /Ram Krish, Creator, Elite Traders Club.

Justin Peck, one of the admins at Kingpin Trading Market wrote a letter to Zynga expressing some of the current issues that many players are having.  Justin provides us with a copy of this letter in his note titled "Letter To Zynga".

I am an Admin of a Trading Group. My job is to handle, and take care of all matters that involve scammers, lowballers, and people that try to take advantage of the "fair" trader. I am a mediator between the two parties, and try my best to figure out the best method of attempting to settle any problem that may occur.
Recently, you have really damaged the Trading market, and I see people that have been incredible people, and have worked "months" acquiring what they have earned, disappear over night. Your reasoning behind this was because of balance? Fair-play? This seems to be an obvious attempt of scamming your Player database because you don't attempt to figure out the real source of the problem. On two seperate occasions, I know of at least 5 people that have lost 5 months of hard work because of lost Lotto Sets, BHEL gone, as well as Skill Points, and Levels. How much longer will this go on?
You have made BHEL ungiftable, and are changing the game towards the "high-end" player. You constantly attempt to sell his with your Ads, as well as your lame Slot Machine. You are turning a social network Gaming platform into a game that is required to purchase your goods via RWP. This is a social game, but yet, you have nothing implemented to make this a friendly game in which others interact.
I am no longer able to gift any Items to my Mafia to help them defend against themselves, because you have removed it from Gifting. I am unable to log on and actually attempt to help others, because you have made the game become "solo" play. Yet, you are still calling this "a social game".
I would really like to know the direction you are going through Gifting. I honestly feel like you have no direction at all, and your just shooting blanks into the wind. Will there finally be gift changing limitations removed to allow traders back the Edge? Will you re-implement BHEL gifting, or are you going to ruin the only reason a lot of people even play your game? What are your plans on not "stealing" from the regular player, and leave them alone rather than bullying them by removing hard worked items? These are questions hundreds and even thousands of people want to know.
Here is the response from Zynga.

Zynga Customer Support

This is exactly why something more extreme than a well written letter needs to be done.  It's obvious that Regina F. is not going to provide a solution.  No Click, Play or Trade is not meant to be a venue to call Zynga names or tell them to F off.  As Ram stated, the voice that needs to be heard is none at all.  A simple data point on a Dot Plot or Histgram representing a statistically significant decrease in daily active users will speak volumes to Zynga.  Most of us love this game and don't want to quit.  We just want it to be more like it was when we first started playing.  Zynga has made other drastic changes in the game that have impacted the strategies used by many players.  First they messed with robbing and the outcome of this was a decreased exp/stamina ratio (1). Next they decreased the exp/energy ratios of the jobs (1).  All along they have gradually made fighting the most important part of the game and then messed with the exp/stamina ratios for attacking iced targets (1). Most players are finding they don't have enough health and can't stay alive for very long.  Bossy Don of Top Mafia.Info has been attacking a lot of people and it looks like they are attacking her as well.  She has used up just about all of her money (excluding NY) to continually heal herself.
Before Zynga just changes important aspects of the game, they really should give players an option to reallocate a percentage of their skill points.  If  there was a obvious forewarning that the the fundamental rules of Mafia Wars could just be changed at any time, I may not have spent the past ten months or so building my character according to what I believed was the best strategy at the time.  Myself and many others would have added skill points differently.  There is no way to go back and it's not fair.  Players who don't care much about trading but are upset over the above mentioned changes should consider participating in the boycott as well.
To RSVP and let Zynga know that you will be attending this event, click HERE and then click the "I'm Attending" box.  Invite your friends and frequently post the link your wall.

  1. Thanks Jenni for the eloberated post of our collective views.

We understand and agree that Mafia Wars is a free game solely owned by Zynga and they can make as many changes as they want. However, it is we users who gave it a pole position and if those changes are making thousands of people to quit, then it is the responsibility of Zynga to listen to the users. This boycott is in the common interests of gamers and Zynga. Hope our voice reaches them :)

  2. Thank you for your continued support, Jen.

As Ram said, this is a group effort not by just the top trade sites, but by and for all traders and daily players who want to see the game improved.
When talks fail, boycotts are imminent.

  3. Reallocating skill pts is a good idea, but would also give an unfair advantage to serial levelers... players with 7000+ energy and no att/def could become 3000/3000 att/def the next day with all of the top end loot? that would be unfair to the lower level players that have steadily invested into att/def.. perhaps they should allow a max number of skill points to be changed

  4. How does the new gifting rules hurt NON Clan members ???
May be the new rules will stop you from being attacked by low Levels (who are in clans) with 501 of all the top Loot ! I think they should put all Clans in one group and let them fight among each other then it would be fun for the daily player

  5. I would say a serial letter to go along with the boycott as well..... So something like the letter that was sent but one that would represent us all and that all of us could send in and flood their customer support center. And I as well will be ending a just under 200 consecutive days played streak... a sad day but something that needs to be done. The only thing I do agree with zynga is to the loot sellers, even though zynga are loot seller themselves. I heard alot about traders but alot of those big energy accounts became sellers and that's what made zynga do what they did. So some responsibility needs to go where it's due... Loot Sellers... My name is Lance Horlas... If you want to send me something about the letter that you want to pass it on to my family and clan.. I will. I'm a union carpenter and numbers and boycotts can work with participation.

  6. The clans are now whining about the rules. I never see any non-clan players whining about being attacked dozens of times by a clan because they robbed one of their members. Suck it up. I won't be participating in the whine fest next weekend. Hopefully the game will play faster without all the whiners online.

  9. give my a brake- that will not help. you cry like a baby every time their something new. you could have answer the mail zynga send you. in the link you posted for topmafia.info -look at the wall -at the post 5 hours ago- they say a suggestion-zynga got it and say yes. you run around saying "don't play, trade and click".
the last time someone say it (about 2 month ago- 6k people say they in- you know what happen? half of them inculding the creator play- so stop crying, if you don't like the game stop playing yourself, don't try to convince more people- if they don't like it they will stop too. I will play this weekend.

  10. I agree a lot of the recent changes have been garbage and have actually contemplated binning my account, i have worked damn hard to get the att/def i currently have and decided to carry on playing. whinging and whining isnt going to solve anything, solidarity is what is needed, Zynga are a cash cow and that is where they need to be hurt, get the idiot credit card players to stop buying and Zynga will sit up and listen. As a non clan member i am also sick to death of being WHACKED dozens sometimes hundreds of times by the same clan because i had the audacity to rob or attack them, i am a polite player never attacking any individual more than 5 times in one go. Zynga surely can seperate clans from normal game play? On a seperate note i would encourage Zynga to have a European game also, i am fed up with not being given the same opportunity our USA players have to play 100% of the game

  11. Changing the rules of a game while it is being played is by definition a bad idea and not fair. Once they opened up the game for other peeps then developers, they should have stuck with the original rules. If they saw that there were some peeps that ommitted some of their rules, they could have changed some of it in the new city's or limited time events.
The most idiotic change was when they started to mess with the nrg/exp of some of the jobs, and reduce the bonus from mastermind and wheelman.

    ReplyDelete
  12. @ annonymous you say you are happy we wont play and wont be here and to suck up the changes. well when were not here and your playing with half the mafia you were before, and zynga continue to drain your pockets and patience WE hope you remember your words...... we care about the game. cant help but think your a newb

  13. Well said. Am close in quitting the game too if Zynga won't do anything good for players, esp. traders. And just an info, I personally know a zynga agent and he told me that big bosses are being alarmed by the boycott. So they might release something new during boycott hours.

Good Luck your going to need it nothing would of changed come monday i Promise you that ZYNGA DO NOT GIVE A FUCK !!!!

  15. what traders and trading community are we talking about.. 90% of the trading admins / big traders have farming accounts. I dont like what Zynga keeps doing without informing the users but i dont like the whine ppl have out here. Its sour grapes. What Zynga should do first is to track the IP's and target multiple account holders. Lets have a level laying field among users and then lets whine what zynga does. If u want i wil name atlast 100 admins/ big traders with their fb profiles who are using mw farming accounts. why is it that only the admins and big traders are crying like babies. why is it most of the daily FAIR players have not whined out. MWTC itself have a fan base of more than 20k users but u still got only 7k for this event. This is all bullshit because Zynga hit u where it hurted u the most, ur trading and where u fooled everybody.
I will give u 1 instance. I had a argument with one wall admin on a well known trading site. I told him trading is demand n supply so why ratios. market will automatically take care of itself. but he went blah blah. then i asked him a Q. who benefits with depressed ratios. the ppl who have farmed the most. and who are they. 90% are so called admins and lankeys on the trading site. so stop being a crybaby. fight for real issues and not that u made it ungiftable and what not bullshit.

  16. Although this is a great idea, I no longer trade because it is too slow, I don't think Zynga will pay attention or change!! The idea about gifting on Monday, everybody floods the server by sending gifts will affect them more and should be advertised better!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anon @ 2:21.. well i mailed them for 13/7 glitch where for some ppls stats where affected and for some ppl like me collection items where taken away. I followed up with them and gave them exact times to check my account and I had my all items returned in more than double. Yes u heard it right.. they gave back my items including diamond sets in more than double and some cases triple. I had lost around 8 diamonds in total they gave me 5 diamond sets. If u r clear and follow up then i think headway can be made with Zynga. They are not bunch of idiots. Many of us players are also from same IT community and can understand better what Zynga is doing. ITS THEIR GAME.. ITS THEIR WAY OR HIGHWAY.. DONT CRY FOR NOTHING. FOR GODS SAKE GROW UP.. DONT LIKE IT, MOVE ON THEN. SO MANY BETTER THINGS TO DO IN LIFE.. FIND OTHER GANMES.. BUY A XBOX OR PS3 OR BETTER WII.. WHY MAKE FOOLS OF URSELF LIKE THIS..

  18. With some two years in the game so a little history, I am feed up with the Zygones ruining our game. It is clear now that they are big fish in the pond of gaming companies and courting others (FB and Google)with their new found market clout they see us as nothing bu RP's! We no longer have an identity just a reward point margin!

They fun is going out of the game as the interaction is getting less and players more and more selfish and who can blame them! Look after no 1 has bee around a lot longer than you or I or Zynga!

The game is a shadow of the all out fun days, it takes half and hour of prep now on your player before you can start to fight! I sy bring em down! Don't just stop at one event!!

  19. how many of u have worked on large projects in any sphere of life and not necessary IT.. how many times in middle of job u had to go back to basics bcs you could not think of all the possibilities. think of microsoft. they keep sending patches after patches. Some affect the actual functionality that we are used to and some are in the background.similarly when zynga started they didnt know how everything will be exploited. they observed and learned and put in places the patches they think are right.

    ReplyDelete
  20. why is a great game being scewed over? All of the posts I have seen are saying Zynga this and Zynga that, Who has lost the most out of this last roundup? The cheats that who they had 501 of stuff that had not even been released. Why blame Zynga for trying to stop that. I applaude them for that. But mafia wars IS a group game Zynga activly encouraged that with the 501 in the mafia and the inter action I have with ppl all around the world is one of the things I love about this game. I have played farmville frounterville and every other ville they have got to make my guy and let him fight. So players dob in the cheaters Zynga I know this is your game but we the players have made this game great by playing it go back to letting us play it as a social game I apoligise for my spelling and grammer but hope I have got my point across

  21. May I ask why no one is entertaining the thought of a class action law suit against Zynga? This "new game" is NOT the game I originally signed up for. The changes in the rules for the game, I never agreed to these changes within the Terms of Service? As much as they want to believe, they can not change the service agreement or the rules without our updated consent. I doubt anyone would agree to these ridiculous changes. So how come were not upping the ante and asking Zynga for a full refund of any money we deposited into our Zynga account(s)? They changed the rules, terms of service and the game. This is no longer the same game. I would not have invested into this game. Calling it "beta" does not make the game beta. It is a public release that they accept real money to play. That is NOT the term for beta but a commercial alpha version. Facebook needs to crack down on 3rd party applications and the term beta. As long as their in beta Facebook should NOT allow them to accept currency from the users. I say lets start a class action law suit against Zynga for violations of our terms of service agreement. Not to mention some people are converting REAL MONEY into GF Coins to play in the new slot machine. This is illegal gambling!!!

  22. Most of the "PATCHES" for any software are triggered by user suggestions. I dont Suggest that the game shud stagnate. But a certain amount of discretion is called for, which one can only arrie by getting diff view points. i have not been playin from the beginning of the game and so dont know the how much the direction of the game has changed in total. But i have been playin for a year and i have only one account. But i dont believe farming accounts are against TOS. Only if they have multiple accounts is it wrong. Sell stuff for cash wud definitely anger Zynga but i dont think the ppl startin this boycott are the ones selling stuff.
    THIS IS NOT A WHINE!!!!!!
Ppl have invested YEARS into this game and are angry when all their hard work goes down the drain. The ppl who call this whining either have a strategy that has "not yet" been hit by zyngas changes or r too new to the game to really understand how this affects them.

  23. Zynga inadvertently created the market for loot, subsequently fairly exploited by Traders and farmers. They've now taken it away and the game revolves around fight skill. Now farming accounts are largely useless and it's tougher to play with those accounts, and near impossible to make money out of them. Hey guess what ? Tough Shit! That market has been and gone, nothing lasts forever.

There are many things I think would improve the game, but this is not one of them or even the right place to mention them. Perhaps if many people don't play this weekend, I might last longer on the hitlist :)

and that bullshit about the Clans - if someone needs help then you help them with what you have, the whole 'join our clan and get access to lots of loot' thing is a non starter, especially when people who fund this game (the credit card guys) lose out in relative terms. Don't lose sight of the fact this game is free for most, but a business at the end of the day, and if Zynga want to control the loot market, it's their right to do so, like it or not.

  24. so what now for farming accounts ?
1 - spend all energy hunting/selling casino parts
    2 - spend all stamina hunting/selling diamonds.
things just ain't what they used to be :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. the problem is the traders who sell and make money from it, because of them people like me who just play the game and build up there charactor cant do that anymore with the gifting switched off.i can understand why zynga have done this if people are selling high end loot sets for $250 on fb groups, is obv why zynga is doing it.

  27. what needs boycotted is not playing - what you should be boycotting is anyone spending any money on godfather points - i had bought some in the earlier stages of the game before i saw how the game worked - but it is evidently useless to do anyways since there are people out there cheating with scripting and creating their own supply of rhinos - cougars - and all the top end stuff that you supposedly get only from fighting!

  28. [Quote] What Zynga should do first is to track the IP's and target multiple account holders.{/quote]

That is a bad idea, we have 2 pc's and 5 people playing MF with each their own name, yet using the same I.P

As far as trading goes, yes I should be able to send any item I whish to.

The skill point re-location, hell NO! We all started with 0 and made a choice, energy - strength - health - defence/offence.
If we made the wrong choice than simply alocate the skillpoints we get now to the right location.
afterall if I choose to be at 5000 energy and 10 stamina I will level up fast but I cant do shit in Vegas until i alocate the skill points i receive now to my stamina.
This was MY choice and not ZYNGA'S now that I am level 2000 I shouldnt complain but live with it.

Others made the choice to keep their defence low but kick as in offence, now they are getting whacked they shouldnt be able to re-alocate.

    But the trading?
Those are MY items I worked my ass of getting them, I should be able to send them whenever to whomever.

I support this effort to get zynga to sit up and listen, but as many other tries this one will probably fail also.

Zynga came with a good idea, a free game. To keep it free for us they need CASH from advertisers, in order to please the advertisers they have no choice but to make the game into a comerce where players somehow pay for something.
Like all the thousant of others that came with FREE PLAY FOREVER - ZYNGA is no different, they have no choice unless someone that plays is willing to pay for the servers the people maintaining them and so on.

I like MF but I will never pay for it in any way or form

If I cant send items or trade with others than I will get my deck of cards out of the drawer and play solitaire on the table in the livingroom.

There I can do whatever I want whenever I want.

  29. What you all should boycott is the loot sellers. They are the ones who have forced zynga's hand. If people were not benefiting off loot sales, zynga wouldn't have made the changes they did.

its is just a bloody whine..

why after having at least a few million active daily playing users only a few thousand are supporting this ridiculous event..??

why majority of those few thousand happen to be from trading sites??

how come farming accounts are not illegal. Zynga never thought that ppl will be mususing and abusing the system in such a way. they learnt their lessons and now this is what we get.. all have to pay a price for what was done by few greedy ppl.

  31. Not in a Clan... Tired of the cheating that they have bought into the game.
    (Clone Scripts etc.)

Who cares that some are not able to sell what is gotten for free?

I hope they catch those low level Clan cheats so the game can once again be about skill & not steal.

I will not help you Beat me.

    ReplyDelete
  32. .. I personally don't like the trading thing therefore will not be involved in boycott, yes you state other reasons to boycott which I partly agree with. But do not want to be associated with the trading scam.
Play the game as we were supposed to... Ya want something, fight/do jobs for it! I'm sick to death of seeing newbs with 100k+. I play fair, no cc, no trade. What I have I earned. I'm a fighter all the way & in a clan. To those earlier who commented on clan smack downs for an attack or rob.. It takes a LOT of shit for me to get my clan to sit on someone. In fact, I haven't! I may get 3/4 clannies in on it, but only for an hour or so. And can I say from a fighters eyes that is usually cos you energiser bunnies used to lay low & hitlist time after time. Have had one of your types hitlist me for DAYS, in that time I did not get to hit him once.
So that was one good change Zynga made! Suck it up, you guys have advantages over us as well.
We all know boycotts don't work & no one sticks to them, we're addicted. They need to be flooded with reasonable valid complaints.
My gripe with them is that they favour US & forget there is a hell of a lot of players that don't damn well live there!
    Happy hunting killers! ;-)

  33. Grouping together against these changes makes sense but 8000 people not playing one weekend doesn't do nearly enough, it's like taking a water pistol to a gun fight.

What you should be doing is organizing a protest against Zynga that is much more loud and heard. I'd start off with a group of people posting the same message over and over again on Zynga forums using public computers and proxy's to get your message out. Take over the Zynga forums but protect your own accounts in the process. They would notice that.

Go ahead and stop playing if that's what you believe to be the best way to get Zyngas attention but I highly doubt that a few thousand out of millions of players not playing during a special event weekend would even be a blip on the radar and instead makes all of these groups look week. If your going to fight back then fight big or not at all.

  35. I have only been playing MW for 6 months or so. I have done well i think. Maybe to the point of playing too much. Its because I LIKE THE GAME. But since some of these changes has started I am growing more frustrated by the day. I cant hardly ice anyone anymore, items vanished, slow play, blank screens of boredom, losing to ppl much weaker than I (Zynga friend perhaps?) ect. I trade a little not clan affiliated and use bookmarklets. I will continue the same. What does it matter if a program fights or sends multiple gifts for me? Is better than developing Clicking Finger while fighting or gifting 1 a t a t i m e. Even if ppl r selling collections zynga still got their money. Yes its their game and they can do what they want. If they run it into the ground and all the players off what will it be worth? Please Zynga continue on ur path. Make MW the greatest game that was.

  36. A few thoughts:
    - Their slot machine is unregulated. They need a gaming license or pay a fine. Any way you look at it Points = Money at least to them and not say it's not to avoid getting a gaming license.
    - Blowing up a truck in the middle of the desert needs some kind of oversight and last time I checked, blowing up things like that is a crime.
    - I use bookmarklets to assist me as I have serious medical disabilities some of which prevent me from using a mouse all the time. Such action is not only discriminatory, but a slap in the face of a Military Veteran injured in the line of duty.
    - Ever notice when these events are planned not to play, Zynga breaks out the big promos and items - looks like the Feds are coming and wouldn't be surprised to see double loot this weekend

  38. skill level re-allocation is baloney. You use your skill points for energy and get all the good loot....you get more money..do more jobs, etc. So if you re-allocate your skill points...will you give back your loot? Your money? etc...Because you put all your skills into energy..you were able to level up faster and which means more skill points...Will you give up your levels? 39. I disagree about only 1 thing. this is not the loot sellers fault. What came first folks the beer brewery? or the bar?
The 1 and only thing that has forced zynga to make changes have been the exploiters, hackers, scripters(malicious in nature, such as cloning script). They have made the game unfair, they are the ones changing the playing field, zynga is only re-acting to these criminals.
Think of this.....if you wake up every morning to your car being broken into, how long will it take before you do something about it(get alarm system, install camera, call police, etc) So how is this any different from zynga??? We expect them to allow crooks, hacking GF points, Skill Points, cloning scripts, etc and do NOTHING about it? Listen i don't like zynga, nor do i like the changes that have been made. But if you want to blame someone.....blame the above mentioned people. These types of people are the same ones driving your milk prices up, and fuel prices, and cd prices. every time you walk into futureshop, walmart or any other BIG box stores, and walk thru the scanners meant to stop shoplifters......YOU PAY FOR THOSE MACHINES. Now put your self in their shoes, let's say you are the business owner, and you have these crooks, scammers, shoplifters, and criminally intent people attacking you daily, and affecting your profits??? Would you do anything to stop them? Or just let them continually take you down? So next time you get all pissy about it give this some thought and put the shoe on your foot.
This EVENT, is flat out 2 faced and hypocritical. many of these admins don't jut sit on this loot folks, they move it. no matter what they lead you to belive, they are not all innocent people. They are basically the first cog in the whole machine that drives the entire mafia wars loot for $$ economy. and They are some of the biggest suppliers in the loot for $$ game.
Multiple accounts same IP banning.....I don't like this idea either. But, making you prove who you are when you sign up for a facebook account is definetely something I would support.

  40. i agree with a lot that has been said here. i tend to a lot of my mafia needs to help make them a stronger and better player and more importantly to help them defend themselves better against the credit card players. many players that i know of can't afford zynga's prices. i definitely think znyga needs to take a look at other gaming platforms such as world of warcraft and guildwars to name a couple. both games have survived a long time and the developers actually listen to their players so they can make the game better for their players. znyga doesn't do this at all. instead they just want to screw all the players that can't afford anything - players who live check to check....almost about a yr ago now, i had stopped playing guild wars because i had started to really like mafia wars...it was a great game back then. now about 9 months or so later....heavily thinking about going back to guild wars....at least there i know the makers won't screw me over like zynga does to their players every single day. zynga needs to let the bookmarklet/script makers do their thing and thats that. those people are not hurting the game in any way shape or form. what they are doing is helping their own clan members or other members/players in the game to make them or stronger or just to help them out cause maybe they are out of consumeables or whatever. as i am the GodFather of 2 different clans i see this whole gifting change a major downer. i'm expected to help my mafia family members to improve their att/def numbers but i see zynga doesn't care about the CLAN COMMUNITY ANYMORE. i remember several months ago when znyga makers sat down with several top godfathers on skype and basically stated they wanted to help improve the game within the clan community...NOW I SEE THEY(ZNYGA) was just blowing steam up those members asses. its a dawg-gone shame. i've also seen many players get tired and quit facebook altogether. its a shame that zynga doesn't take this more seriously for the average/NON-RICH player. for me, i guess i will be joining the thousands in this weekend boycott and head back to guild wars once again. my clan has already been informed and many are joining in(the more serious players anyways) on this boycott. shame it has really come down to this. if znyga only left the game alone like they had said they would - shit like this boycott would have never had to come about.

  41. to lexi - you make alot of valid points except znyga doesn't favor the USA....we have to pay alot if we want reward points it costs an arm and a leg. who the znyga favors the most-3 world communities. i have it on a good authority that indonesia players only pay like 20-30(us-dollars) for 1000 reward points. now how is that fair to the rest of the world....thats total crap. as for the gifting...leave chucker alone. it doesn't do anything except help clan members or even non-clan members help each other out. PERIOD. for trading sites, leave them alone as well. many players/clans go to them to help build their member base for war time...that never hurts the game. zynga once said they would help make the game better for the whole clan community....instead they have screwed it for the whole clan community - THANKS FOR NOTHING. i guess its time to head back to guild wars - at least there i knew the makers never tried to screw us players over.

  42. I predicted months ago that Zynga would kill trading/gifting of the highest HEL in the game. They tried this in Bangkok and so many people got the property glitch or used the baht script without any repercussions from Z (fail)

I burn over 2K stamina a day and am still not even close to maxing on the HE fight loot.

I agree with the comment that Z opened themselves up to the trading community to create commercial businesses- they know this is taking $ from their pocket, and they will do everything in their power to protect it. Next predication: Z providing trading info to the IRS, so US traders better be claiming this as income and filing quarterly returns!

I have bought RP's and loot from traders (purposely chose a UK based trader with a solid reputation).
    I am a level 730+ and have 600 energy.
    Mafia Attack Strength 104,153
    Mafia Defense Strength 103,602

Boycott? I probably will not participate-
I have invested time and money in this game- and I am very addicted. I don't like how long it takes me to play everyday.

I play to FIGHT (clan warring) Jobs are just a nuisance to obtain skill points and loot. I actually like the shift to fighting in the game and applaud Z for doing 1 thing right.

Z and FB TOS does NOT allow multiple accounts, even though many of the tasks/goals is nearly impossible without a farmer of some sort. Fb TOS does not allow FALSE information to be provided.

I agree changing the fundamentals of the game strategy on the fly is NOT fair and WILL continue to have people leave the game.

  43. I am a clan GF and the stop or attempt to stop FAIR TRADING by Zygna alarms me. A clans basic goal is to make itself stronger by making its members stronger, and there is no doubt that we do spend $$$ to achieve this end by buying skill based products and services.
As a business person, what i'm failing to comprehend here is why they would punish people for making equipment available to the wider network of players??? Instead of stopping trading, why dont they look at a commission based system or something where both paties prosper- they are walking away from potential big $$$- madness!!

Are there any jobs available in upper mangement??? Perhaps some here could make more profits for you Zygna!

DO NOT TAKE THIS ELEMENT OUT OF THE GAME, Reward those who put in the hard work, reward those who are enterprising enough to make trading accessible to everybody, after all, they have taken your words of "social gaming" to the highest level!!!

This is a great game made better by the people who play it.....lets remind Zygna of that. I'm supporting the no play day

Ok..here is my input..i have gotten gifts from my family, and without that i would not be half the strength I am.its like a pyramid.i get stronger and give all my lower loot to new peeps that are in my family....PASS IT ON. but, what kills me about FB is that I had a security check when I logged in to my account.I dont know everyone by name.they showed me a series of people's pics and asked me to put a name with them...WTF. OK they tell us to get 501 members, yet now you can get booted for not knowing your members......That my friends is a mass crock.

  45. I know a couple of players who despise Zynga and especially people who pay money to Zynga, yet have run cheats to give themselves amazing skill points (16000+ att/def). Since they are in my clan, I am not going to turn them in, but it is unpleasant to have a front-row seat to the ego-fest.

  46. I wouldn't exactly call that letter "well-written." It takes forever to get to the point. Zynga doesn't know or care what a "trading group" is. It should have started out like this, "Along with many users in a Mafia Wars related facegroup I am a member of, I am extremely disappointed with the limitations inherent in your currently implemented Gifting and Wish List system in Mafia Wars. These limitations prevent us from being able to help our mafias adequately..." The letter above is full of poor grammar, and appears to be written by a teenager or middle schooler. If we are going to get anything accomplished, I think it is important to choose our "representatives" more wisely. Some illiterate moron with a small vocabulary and horrible grammar skills stands no chance of getting his complaint letter read by anyone with a lick of intelligence. Just saying, simply because any moron can be an admin of a successful group does not mean he is qualified to voice concerns on behalf of that group. The first rule of getting heard by anyone is having a clear message. Spelling errors, poor grammar, and failing to get to the point in a way that can be easily understood are sure-fire ways to ensure that you will receive nothing but Zynga's standard support form letter as a response. I agree that things need to be improved, but you should have someone like me write the letter. I can guarantee you, I'd knock their socks off. But instead, you prop up all these imbeciles with poor writing skills as representatives for the rest of us. We look like a bunch of illiterate fools. And who wants to help an illiterate fool?

  47. If you dont like it dont play, problem solved. There is thousands social games and 99% are better than mafia wars. And btw if some real world money trader clans and other scum cannot make real world money from selling giftable loot, GO FUCK YOURSELVES. I clearly understand why Zynga made these changes and why some "frustrators" are so unhappy, too bad lot of people dont.

    ReplyDelete
  48. You guys have no clue what is going on within the game. If you approached them in a different fashion, you would understand. Instead you whine and cry about everything. Gifting was changed for a specific reason, accounts were rolled back for specific reasons. If you are "INNOCENT" Zynga will know that after an investigation and your account will go back to normal. You are not hurting Zynga, you are helping others. People that spend money are still clicking away, the "real trade sites" will keep on trading, and the game will continue. When you stomp your feet, all you do is get sore feet. Try a different approach and you might get different results. It's not your game and if you don't like it.... Get the hell out. Put on some diapers already. I hear people complaining about losing "free loot" cmon now!!!!! You didnt pay for it, so shut the f**k up. There is a group already in place that meets with Zynga regularly and can tell you all the facts. There are security issues and until it is fixed, it will remain. Zynga never in a million years thought gifting would become what it is today. It has overwhelmed them and now they need to make a gifting system designed to do what we do with it. The boycott can suck my b*lls

    ReplyDelete
  49. Its more going on then just gifting. You have level 400 with non gifting items. You have real cheaters all over. Not able to gift only stop a hand full of people. You have cloning cheat that is still going on. Like a person say earlier put the clans on one server. Zynga is trying to make it an even playing field but it may be a little to late. Sometime ago I had a member in my mafia send out a hot e-mail to everybody to all mafia members that somebody was stealing his loot. And in his second e-mail on how he explain how every time you got 3 item the 4th one go the cheater. like say before Zynga is only stopping a hand full of people. Stopping is not the answer.

  50. "If there was a obvious forewarning that the the fundamental rules of Mafia Wars could just be changed at any time, I may not have spent the past ten months or so building my character according to what I believed was the best strategy at the time."

LMAO... you've played this game for 10 months, and never suspected Zynga might nerf the game or your strategy? What game have you been playing?

I think these changes to limit gifting are just fine, as now my character's ability to gather loot is not outshined by others' ability to farm/gift/trade.

I'm actually maxed on non-giftable loot now, and quite happy with my situation. Mass gifting is now for MW peons, as the grand benefits for trading have been removed.

Good luck playing your crippled accounts without spending money to bail them out, now. I can't believe you never suspected Zynga would change the game, when that's ALL they've done for the year I've been playing.

Read and learn how much they make off of all their games and then speak about skill pionts and loot traders it all boils down to the simple fact that they lose profits if they allow trading to continue ..http://techcrunch.com/2010/05/03/zynga-revenue/

  55. I've written and re-written e-mail messages to make easier points than these. When I responded to their form letters, I picked a single element from my former complaints. No matter how elementary or focused my writing eventually I got another canned e-mail response. I wrote that the same response could be found on a very popular blog and I had read it. I said they had not read the prior email (which was completely obvious.) If you do enough of this, you will have reached no resolution, you will have received a few more canned responses, not a single one from the same person to whom you ever replied.

Zynga seems to have not organized their customer response system to handle anything more complicated than replacement of missing purchased items.

I think this issue is all about money. Boycott our spending of any GF reward points and purchase of reward points instead. They are not concerned with how many play but with how many pay. It would take a month not a weekend to get some attention!

When this is over on Monday morning, you will find us in the same condition as yesterday and maybe another e-mail (not from anyone you have heard from before.)

I don't belong to a clan, I'm just an ordinary daily player who didn't get ahead by buying my way to the top. I Hope you all lose your Top Loot Items, Money, Empire, and your so called Edge. I hope they also do away with trading sites and the chucker. Make the game fair to everyone!

  58. "Changing the rules of a game while it is being played is by definition a bad idea and not fair. Once they opened up the game for other peeps then developers, they should have stuck with the original rules." In that case, I suppose Zynga should go back to zero gifting...just like it used to be. Sounds good to me, most of the cheats/glitches in the game evolved once gifting became available. Perhaps we will less instances of 501 goldsmobiles and other impossible loot gains now, protecting the game for those of us who actually play and have for years.

  59. I've become a serious MW addict over the last year. I have 4 accounts now but I'm not a trader. I just pass loot from account to account. I use bookmarklets that do nothing that I couldn't do by monotonous clicking... except perhaps for maybe the chucker, which still allows me to gift high end loot. I've purchased a few Reward Points from time to time as well. If I'm the type of player Zynga is looking to ban, well.. at least I'll get my life back. I'd like to join the boycott but I may start twitching after a couple hours ;-)

  60. Come on people....this No Click, Trade, Play is ridiculous. It is really simple to understand: Zynga is the maker of Mafia Wars. It is THEIR game that you have chosen to play. They have the right, as the creator and owner, to do whatever they want to do to the game. You can either accept the changes or you can QUIT PLAYING THE GAME!!!!! It's so simple a child could understand. Life changes and you need to "roll with the punches". Quit whining and complaining about something you have no control over. If the changes in Mafia Wars gets you this upset, you seriously need to get a real life outside of the game. I will not be attending this stupid boycott....It won't do a darn thing to change Zyngas mind. (of the 7000+ people who say they are attending, how many do you really think are actually going to do it????)

  61. I sincerely hope that this boycott heralds the "Winds of Change" for the players/customers/victims of this game. For me this boycott is about much much more than just trading... for me this is what I see as a possible new beginning in the balance of power between Corporate and Customer and the end of communism in the mafia wars gaming community. I have added a song I have always loved since I first heard it while watching a video of the Berlin Wall being torn down. I in no way mean to belittle that incredible day in history by thinking of this as our theme song for this weekend... I simply wish to inspire and perhaps give yet one more view on this matter.

    Some history:

The lyrics celebrate the political changes in Eastern Europe at that time – such as the Polish Round Table Agreement and fall of the Berlin Wall, the increasing freedom in the communist bloc (which soon led to the fall of the USSR), and the clearly imminent end of the Cold War.

In 2005 the viewers of the German television network ZDF chose this song as the song of the century. It is the highest ever selling song in Germany, reputedly selling over 6 million copies in that country alone, and is frequently played on television shows presenting video footage of the fall of the Berlin Wall. In Germany it is remembered as the song of German reunification (and fall of communism in Eastern Europe generally), even though it only rose to popularity two years later.

  64. Well I would be pissed off to if I was ZYNGA people that are selling LOOT that they get for free and sell to people its not fair to anyone. So its there own fault and deserve and I hope they do have there account's BLOCKED,DELETED,DISABLED it would not of come to this if it stayed in the game but no thanks to those idiots selling it for money they have stuffed it up for every one. So its not ZYNGA to blame for what the SELLERS have done to all of US. If they wanted the loot being sold they would of added it to the game but its not so I blame YOU the seller not ZYNGA . I don't think its the average trader that's the problem here that ZYNGA really has the beef with. I will NOT be attending this BULLSHIT halfass excuse of a PROTEST that against ZYNGA. I think the protest should be against those IDIOTS selling it. Which would get ZYNGA on the side of the average trader and make the game more FUN and interactive. How else to you think they will stop ppl selling it then making not SO social. MWTC is a JOKE and should be shut down there are more scammers and SELLERS on there then any other place on FACEBOOK but unfortunately you cant tell who is SELLING apart from changing the gifting and adding a tracker yes it unfair to the average trader just swapping for loot and not money but hey it has to be done. I am a trader also and love trading but I will stand behind ZYNGA all the way to get the SELLERS out of the game. Remember if we get to pushy they can always shut the game down or make it subscription. So at least make a protest worth while.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Traders HAVE exploited the market... but guess what? ZYNGA GOT PAID ONE WAY OR THE OTHER! If sellers werent buying godfather points to give their farming accounts a boost, they wouldnt exist... so NO sellers are not paying for the loot, Just for the accounts that get the loot. Zynga likely makes more money off of the sales sites than it would without the RP buyers. Just because the 3rd party sellers were willing to take a gamble and spent their money in hopes of making a profit, Zynga would still be in the dark ages. They make hundreds of thousands of dollars off of some of these sellers, but the sellers just make a profit

  67. I'll be playing. I think the changes Zynga made were right to balance the game. They were necessary and only the first step in the right direction. I saw that coming and used my skill points accordingly. It's totally ridiculous to demand the possibility to "reallocate" your skill points. That would be unfair to thinking players like me who didn't put all their skill points into XP...

  69. I'm quitting the game. Have already begun giving all my goodies away to my friends. I'm not in a clan but I've enjoyed meeting and playing with so many great people. And that's one of the reasons I'm sad about giving up the game. But, I have a life outside of MW and they've made it so time-intensive that in order to "keep up with the Jones's" I have to play far too many hours. I also heartily agree with the concerns people have about the many changes Zynga has made that completely alter how you would create your character. It's frustrating. So...I'm outta the game. And...those I've gotten to know...I'll pop back now and again to say hi cause I think you're all fabulous.

  70. (lvl 200 & under 1,000 has 3,000 att/def with max Non Giftable Items) Looks familiar? Unfortunately yes.

They are Clone Clan Cheaters. I know, because my friend is one.

If the Clans are truly sincere about loving the game...Help Zynga turn in the Cheats that have ruined it for us all.
Oh, but this is your doing you say, well guess what, as your own polls have shown, we would love to see you go away.

Zynga is doing the right thing to protect it's own investment and not the ones that try to profit from a game they are no more a part of than any other player.
Restoring the integrity of the game for us Non Cheating players to protect us against the Clone Scripters & Hackers that steal from who, You!

Many people may have noticed that the loot they just gathered doing a job didn't add up when they checked...

That's because you have someone with 3,000 friends in their FB account,

Mafia friend that you thought was a Great player, but really it's the Script that is stealing your hard earned loot and selling it on the trade sites.

They have Cloned Skill Points, Non Giftable Items and have been able to beat players 10x there level through these various cheats that the Clans have been Selling/Trading.

Things they have stolen from us and their own Mafia!!

If you want to help your Mafia, as I have been doing, clicking is not a problem...they are your friends.

Watching some friends gather all of the Cheats from Clans & with friends 5x what is necessary to play at max members only to Steal from them and make them believe they are a skilled and intelligent player just pisses me off!

Revenge of the Clones are Crushed by the Force & I for one am happy that Zynga has done it.

I hope they find a way to roll back the skill points on all of those low level cheats with Max Tigers etc.

    They are easy to find.

I should start keeping a list to Kick their Arse when the game is once again played without the cheating Clone Clan advantage!

Be serious, I am sure 95% of all trades are exchange items between different accounts, sell the items for real money or trade items that the trader get from a MW glitch.
And the same as my previous speaker wrote, there are a lot of glitches, zynga do something against this, surprise, everyone say "We want back the old system!"
Change your view! Use the view from a "beginner" who not use any scripts and haven't anything to trade. What's you opinion now? All changes that zynga made are worse or good? o_O
AND there are a lot of things in the game play in general, why I find nowhere anything about it? no surprise, why not...

I'm sick and FUCKING TIRED of zynga being whores taking the rich fuckheads money and giving them 5 star treatment and the people who can't be on par with the people who have say....100k+ attack and defense. This needs to stop, because they are taking over the economy and Indonesians can suck my cock and burn in hell for selling cheapass loot. the fighting is 2 ways these days: You end up fighting a player who will rape you later on for the hell of it, or you find a lvl 1k+ who you can attack a dozen times and get away with it. The gifting system is also a load of horseshit and needs to let people select a list of certain people they would like to regularly send stuff to since theres only a really annoying way to do it with bookmarks from spockholm adding in fb id#'s to mass check the boxes when sending a free gift to someone. this needs MAJOR FIXING. I hate the idea of finding every single of the 40 people out of the hundreds of people in the damn list! It needs some way of being able to save the list of people you want to send gifts to or something similar. those of you who are playing during the boycott, suck my cock. ZYNGA FTL!

  75. ATTENTION ZYNGA! Get your drones off of this page. wtf is this. annonymous, annonymous, annonymous........ Grow a pair and use a name. 10,000 will boycott and 2 mill will stay? well sir, 2 mil have already quit playing the game completely over this bs. it is obvious that zynga has massively overinflated its numbers. otherwise, district 6 would be opened by now as predicted by zynga over a week ago. so you think 10,000 or well, 30,000 by the time all of my friends and allies join up is no big deal. what happens when they loose 60,000 clicks this weekend from this boycott event and it is revealed to the invester (google) that they can't make their numbers? and honestly, are you so naive that you think this is the only boycott event this weekend. do some research and see that there are at least 12 others with thousands of participants each. long and short, 10,000 may not be much. 30,000 may not be much. but multiply that by 12. think about it.....

as for treating paying customers with 5 star accommodation, i am godfather of my own clan and buy reward points from zynga regularly. they still screwed me. i still had page loads and browser freezes and currently still do. so i would like to know more about this 5 star treatment. anyone?? that's what i thought. just rabid speculation from free players who have no clue that it is no different for the paying customers. we paying players are treated like crap just like the free players. the only ones they care about are the sponsors and investors PERIOD. that's the bottom line.

and i have a special message for one particular "annonymous" poster above as i took major offense to your "i can't hear the lies any longer" comment. my clan is a helper clan. we help lower level players attain loot and build stats. also coach them on how to properly build their character. i am in this game to make friends and have fun never was profit an option or a goal. i am not alone in this as all of my allied clans are the same. dishonor me by calling me a liar, but if you research us, you will see that being a helper clan is both in our description and our mission statement. so "annonymous", if you are a trader who is pissed off about losing money, get over it. if you are one of zynga's drones, quit screwing around on the internet and go fix the game.

and mr cramer i completely agree with all that you said and i want to add something. i think that the chucker has been outlawed because zynga is jealous that the players found an easier and more convenient way of sending loot. the system is broken. they know of the chucker and it's user friendly operation. they just don't want to fix the years old problem of gifting. i guess we need more crappy low stat loot that is useless to the higher level players.

I am behind this boycott all the way and i am bringing my people with me.

sincerely, (yes, i've got a pair)

  76. To all the anonymous posts that say I will play and stop whining.

It's very simple people have invested a lot of time into this game and zynga is changing the rules because they want to line their pockets even more and are gearing toward the credit card player..

Eventually you will have to stand for something or you won't stand at all..

And are you the ones whining on your facebook pages about help me this guy attacked me 20 times......? And you have the nerve to tell us to stop whining when what we are doing is trying to help people like you! So that it remains balanced for the person who can't or won't spend their hard earned dollars on gf points?

I don't know about you but when I put this much work into something I don't expect it to be in vain.. I expect them to honor what they said they would do...

At one point they said that bookmarklets were ok to use.. now they aren't, Changing the structure of the game halway nto it is just bullshit

    ReplyDelete
  77. To above post...It takes a Cheat to be able to beat those cheats.

Now that Zynga is trying to run a un-rigged game, people will not need your help.

    ReplyDelete
  78. And Dizzy I half way agree with you,

But they do treat most credit card players with a little more respect..

It may not be much but some..lol I know because I have spent money on gf points as well

    ReplyDelete
  79. To anonymous,

Sure they will thos are not cheat you dumbass

    ReplyDelete
  80. Being able to sdend multiple gifts at a time is not cheating it is something that helps

let me explain the difference of what a cheat is...

A bot something that runs an executable program is a cheat...

A bookmarklet runs a single line of code to transfer information and does not run an executable program is not cheating...

  81. amen and ram is full of shit...no one gets their loot back from scammer fund, told me not to post scammer on the wall so everyone will know and see who it is....report to scammed fund, i see people waiting for months after proof was submitted, pissed cause they lie to get people to trade there.has anyone got anything back???

  82. I will be part of the boycott. I wasn't in a clan since the beginning, and I received all the help possible from my tagged and not tagged higher levels mafia members. At the time, the gifting was fast using the wishlist, my friends sent me hundreds of items to give me a good start in the game. This won't be posible now, the limitations imposed by both Zynga and FB make the new players to be weak, and begin to play in such bad condition most of them quit very fast. Zynga is desperate to empty our pockets but I wonder is there no one to tell them the right selling strategy? The basic selling classes postulate one thing: the client needs must be satisfied. The client is on the top of the pyramide, not the manager. Also ppl must trust the seller to buy things. If we can't trust the game, and stay with the fear a glitch will come and take all we bought with real money, how can we invest in them game? If we can't play for free at the beginning, how can we wish to be better and stronger using our c.c. if we don't have the chance to like the game and to interact with other players?
Clans are social groups made by players to support each other. One who never been a member has no idea what's about and how much help is given an received in a clan - just for the pleasure to help your mafia family. For free, not as trade. Now the ones who can give because they don't use the loot anymore are stuck with the loot in the inventory and look helpless at the huge amount of time needed to send it to lower level ones - ppl have jobs, real life, they won't spend that much time in a game because zynga wants more money.
The ones who don't agree are maybe ppl who never help with jobs or loot, and only ask others for everything - this kind of ppl have no way to know the sender use his time to help him, for free.
It has nothing to do with your personal grudges, there are many serious trade groups, big and strong players and even help groups. Because they know what they are talking about.

  84. I had an ATT/DEF of almost 96,000 when I suddenly went to 35,000...... when I contacted Zynga they admitted it was their mistake yet refused to give me all the loot and items it has taken me months to obtain. Just imagine having 500 off all the best possible loot items suddenly gone! Yeah Exactly...... ZYNGA is making this game absolutely no fun anymore. I wanna know what kind of REAL MAFIA BOSS has ever killed anyone with a freaking RIDING ELEPHANT anyway!

  85. It's a game people. If it drives you that crazy, quit playing. If you don't like it anymore, quit playing. I liked Candy Land when I was little, but moved on. One day I am sure I will move on from this game, and quite honestly it may be soon, but who knows. Plain and simple, just quit playing if you don't like the changes. I'm sure some of you have been playing longer, but I have been playing 10 months. I am a trader. I do have a farming account. I do use utilities to make the loot transfer and fighting easier. So their changes impact me all the time.

Zynga doesn't owe us anything. It's their game, that they host for us. You and I are just willing participants of the game. If they want to change the game, then it changes. It's their game. Their changes continuously screw with strategies I had from the beginning, but I just roll with the changes. I wouldn't have spent so much Bangkok money on the other faction store stuff if I had known animals were going to be released. I wouldn't have put so many points to energy, if I had known FHEL would come later. I wouldn't have given away all my Royal Thai Marines, if I had known valuable they would be for tournaments. I would have built more Day Riders, if I knew tournaments were coming and how they worked. I would have done a lot of things differently along the way. When they change, I adjust.

I guess my overall point is to just embrace the change and enjoy the game as long as it is enjoyable to you. For me, the fact that it is a changing game is the only thing that keeps me coming back. It means there is no end game. There is no top slot where everything is settled and done and all there is to do is go in and click on jobs once a day. My wife thinks it is a stupid game, because she doesn't see the graphics and can't move stuff around and decorate a farm. It isn't creative in that sense. But for the player who wants to put thought into it, there is a fair amount of strategy to apply. Changes mean constantly updating your strategy. So as far as I am concerned, BRING ON THE CHANGES!!! I might just keep playing if you do. If you don't like changes that impact your strategy, I would suggest playing Fish World. It's nicely confined and static in little tanks.

All of you obviously perked Zynga's ears up…you did get their attention. While you are all out boycotting, many more players will be out their getting their Feds Are Watching loot. I will be one of them. It's a game people…enjoy the game…interact with your crew, and have fun.

  87. Bunch of cry babies! Go buy you an XBox and game...then it won't change!

    ReplyDelete
  88. looks like the boycott is off for now and Zynga is listening....

    ReplyDelete
  89. You know, the best way to get Zynga to change their ways isn't with a boycott of the game. It is with a boycott of purchasing RPs. If people stop paying real money to get RPs, they will be forced to change the game. RPs matter too damn much in this game right now, and they shouldn't.

And to the Anonymous guy above, the boycott is not off yet...check the fb event page, it says it isn't cancelled yet.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Whether the trading group's boycott is on or off (yes, I know, it's still on) There is still a group of other people out there that are boycotting because of the loss of all of their friends who have loyally played the game every day for over a year. Z has changed the ToS too many times without warning and it is much different from when we all first started playing 2 years ago. Boycotting will show them that we know how to work together. Boycotting the use of RPs is also a great idea. But what we are now starting to spread is to attack them with means other than FB... report them to the Better Business Bureau. Makes them look bad to the public eye and not just the FB eye. They have hurt their customers way too many times to count. They've also been known to say that they don't want the long term players as much anymore because they don't spend as much $$ on RPs as the newer lower ends do. Our group of people are not only boycotting mw, but ALL Zynga games.

Honestly, I'm ready to quit the game altogether. If I wasn't a GM, I would. My people depend on me too much and as long as a majority of the clan still wants to stay and play, so will I. As for the "Feds Are Watching" event, that wasn't even posted until a Boycott was mentioned. Don't you see? Zynga is paying attention. That is why the Feds are watching, to entice us to stay and play! They aren't as stupid as they pretend to be. And the loot from the Feds? WHO THE F CARES!?! We will only be able to bring 51 top items into fights soon, and I'm pretty sure that the Feds loot won't matter.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I support what you are trying to do but in my opinion, a boycott of spending money is what will really drive the point home. Not playing the game merely frees up resources for those who still are playing.

    ReplyDelete
  92. what a bunch of smack all you need to shut the fuck up and quit this shit faggots only reason you want loot is so you can buy some rice and water from selling loot that isnt yours to sell fucking skinny african titscratching bitches

  93. 1) To all the "SANE SAGES" so eloquently suggesting that its just a game play it till u like it ... so on so forth. Well this is just an event hosted to group LIKE MINDED individuals to a common platform to protest against the changes. If u r like minded then participate or else dont. Simple?
    2) To the ones saying this levels the playin field. How exactly? A newbie starts playin the game. He has friends already playing for a while now n they have high end loot that they dont use. But they cant send it to them. Right? The way to play the game is to sit n click ur way thru all the changes that r made n dream about becoming strong one day in the distant future.
    3) To those supporting the event good luck. I dunno if it will change anything but it sure as hell beats just sittin around knowing ur getting screwed or, even worse, not even realising it.

  94. I agree with all that is going but have one ?. Why would someone waste all of their money to heal themselves after fights with anything but New York money? If they were able to do the robbing glitch, which happened months ago. I believe that is one of the reasons Zynga allowed for the robbing glitch to occur. I only say this because in the above letter it says a person wasted all of their money on healing themselves, when it show that the person has more than enough money to heal themselves forever.

  95. Did I miss the basket of dumbass sandwiches going around, because obviously a lot of people emptied the picnic basket quick. Whining little

Hey, can we contact Congress about this? You are all a bunch of f'ing idiots. Wow! Better Business Bureau...class action suit. OMG...I don't know why I would even comment to this other than how much fun it has been to read some of your posts. Get a life. You guys act like you made the game and OWN it.

But that was the key word...it's a GAME. You all act like a bunch of monkeys fucking a football in the deep end of a pool. Have fun with your boycott, although I have to say you have to be a fucking loser with NO life to boycott an online GAME, so I have no idea what you will do with your weekend.

Here's a clue for your weekend...I hear Dick's Sporting Goods has a sale on footballs.

  96. OK.. first of all...

I HAVE THE RIGHT to say "FUCK YOU ZYNGA" coz i have spent more than $500 on both games... and now i'm being screwed up my ass... so to the guy who commented before me... you can GO FUCK YOUSELF.. you prick...
and to all the BRAIN-DEAD stupid fucks at ZYNGA... i have one last thing to say:

    " F U C K Y O U " ... I Quit...

  97. These changes have had a negative impact on game play as many have stated. I recall the early days when the game was FAST, not it's so damned slow I can hardly stand to go to Vegas at all. And all those pop-ups constantly thrown in our faces - I don't know how many times I have accidentally clicked on them - at least NOW they have a confirmation, but all that crap slows the game down.

As far as trading, like many have said, WHY make ANYTHING giftable if they don't want trading to happen? I traded a lotto piece I won for some good stuff, because I knew I didn't stand a chance in hell of winning the lotto pieces. I've played for about 2 years, and in all that time, ONE lotto piece.

What I really do not like is that we are not given any notice on substantial changes to the game, and then we're supposed to just be happy? Zynga makes money from advertisements, as well as those purchasing reward points, so they SHOULD have a vested interest in what a majority of people are saying - WE DO NOT LIKE THESE LATEST CHANGES. WE WANT OUR GAME BACK!

Call me a whiner - although I think I'm actually a bitcher, totally different class - everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. I just happen to think that a majority of us are right.

  98. They also Just shut down Prison Lockdown with NO warning at all.Playing one day then log in the next & Its GONE

  99. @lexi - hell, i gave up on the whole cell phone thing...never got the darn app to work...znyga screwed me on that one, lol. i agree about chucker, i would really like to see Z implement that into the game but alas i really doubt that would happen.

  100. sale on footballs... you dick head.

What would happen if you had bet money on a football game that was a no brainer, the team you were betting on would win no matter what... and halfway through that football game the refs say "oh, new rule, you can't use your right foot to kick the ball anymore" KNOWING that the crappy team could all kick with their left feet? Your team loses and you are out $$ - would it piss you off? Shouldn't. It's just a game. Go fuck your own footballs monkeyboy. I hope you drown in a pool.

  105. Email to Zynga:
I writing this as a complaint and as a matter of disappointment. I have written to you about two specific problems over the last 4 months and and still have the same problems plus one I have not bothered to report (not being able to post the Katar on my wish list). The issues I have are:

    1. My name does not appear on the "Friends Response" when participating in wars.
    2. Not being able to cash in my Envelopes of Baht.
    and most recently
    3. Not being able to place the Titanium Katar on my wish list.

I had expected help on these issues but all I received from Customer Support (Customer Support...really?) was (and I quote) "Larry I would like to inform you that I was checking your particular case and found that there are some other accounts affected with the same problem, we already report this incident to out Development Team and they are working on that.
I just beg for your patient and comprehension while we solve this matter for you." Is this your way of blowing off a problem that you don't want to or can't solve?

I used to enjoy playing this game and spent a lot of time in Mafia Wars but within the last four months I have come to realize that Zynga is either unwilling or unable to correct issues with the game. I do realize that you are profit based company BUT how do you expect to increase revenue when your fan base becomes more and more disenchanted with the produce you produce.

It seems like every week there is a new and exciting problem with the game that you won't deal with and the "fixes" you send i.e. "clear your history or follow the steps in the Loading Troubleshooting guide" are ridicules. I'm waiting for you to tell me to "Jump up and down on one leg while rubbing my stomach and patting my head" to fix an issue."

You can definitely count me as an unsatisfied customer.
