The Arena was introduced into the game about a year and a half ago. With it came Power Cards and we have been collecting them ever since. Because Power Cards can be purchased using reward points, it doesn’t seem like a good business model to let players have too many of these on hand. Why on earth would I buy any of these when I have close to 20,000 just sitting there? At one point Zynga would have limited time offers in which players could craft Kamikazes or Stamina Refills and this is what we have been hoarding Power Cards for all this time. Mafia Wars players have good memories and until something worthwhile is presented, our Power Card supply will continue to grow.
I don't get this either. I'm only 50% done with the 1000 Gold Kamikazi achievement more than one year later after I got the Silver because I get maybe 1 or 2 kamis a week from Daily Fix- yet I've got 10,000 power cards sitting around useless. Even if they charged 100 cards each at least let me build some kamis with them so I can get this stupid achievement done sometime this century.
ReplyDeleteTo keep it just a little bit fair (a concept completely lost in this game now), I hope they NEVER EVER do these builds again... and also while we're at it, they should NEVER EVER update the loot items bought for Victory Coins either... but since fairness is no longer part of the game... sadlly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Zynga offering this again
ReplyDeleteIf you don't give Zynga all the permissions it wants, you can't click on the button requesting power cards.
ReplyDeleteUpdate: No sooner had Jen approved this comment, I was able to click on the power card beg button -- and post -- after God knows how many weeks had gone by in which I wasn't able to, but just with the one character (that wouldn't give Zynga permissions, like to post on 'my' behalf).
DeleteI can also posts crew requests with that button now too, a condition that just affected the one character. I changed nothing. No settings. Do you think Zynga reads this blog?

ReplyDeleteWell apparently the ones with SOOO many cards aren't using the arena, likely using some kind of ap to collect all the ones on the news feeds, I have several friends that we customize are cards for each other as you can rarely get them off the feeds they also save me their kamikazes :) I would LOVE more power cards too bad they aren't giftable
