Lord’s Pet Drop Rates

Share:

The 2nd Mission in Mexico requires one to loot 25 Lord’s Pet from any job in Tijuana. It sounds simple enough as the Lord’s Pet is one of the items that randomly drops from jobs in District 1. I always say in the walkthroughs not to worry about these items because the drop rate is so poor and they will become obsolete by the time you could even think about maxing out on them. I’ve ruby mastered District 1 and farmed extra consumables and at this point have only acquired 20. Now we need to get 25 more of these items as the ones you already have before getting to the this task don’t count. During the Mexico City Missions walkthrough, I used a high energy mini account and noticed the drop rate was about 1 per every 125-250 jobs. These things just don’t drop and it can be very problematic for players who don’t have a lot of energy or for ones that don’t have a serial leveling ratio. Below is a run in which the drop rate seems to have somewhat improved but it’s not nearly enough to get the majority of players through this task.

It took 2,286 jobs to get 26 Lord’s Pets (~87 jobs per pet). For the account used, I did the job with the best ratio not requiring consumables or currency. This job costs 11,000 energy (energy requirements are based on level so yours could be lower) and the ratio is 2.093. It took over 24 million energy to get the items needed and I’m not sure how fighters or balanced accounts are going to be able to do it when most can’t even do 100 jobs in a day. Zynga should consider increasing the drop rate or they will be dealing with non-stop support inquiries as many players believe they aren’t dropping at all because they never meet the threshold to get just 1. lordspet3
I did jobs all day long on my main account and only got 2 of them. You could have all the energy in the world and still not get this done if the ratios of the jobs in District 1 don’t allow you to level. These Missions aren’t timed so the best strategy would be to work on it when you are in park mode and just use excess energy when you have it. If you are ok with it taking a few months then it shouldn’t be an issue as long as you know what is going on. Zynga can deal with the players who think it’s broken.

  5. I've used somewhere around 3 to 4 million energy doing various jobs on level one and I have gained the sum of ...........wait for it ........ONE !!!!! I know this is an untimed mission but if it was I think players would run out of interest long before they run out of time at this rate. Maybe Zynga should consider increasing the drop rate

  6. I just got three drops in 15 jobs, but I was doing the "Retrieve all that was yours..." job that requires a Riata consumable. I had only gotten one in probably over 60 times doing the no consumable "Declare War" job. So, try doing the jobs that require a consumable and see whether the drop rate is higher.

  8. Maybe we should all go into park mode for a week or two....watch Z react to the sudden drop in clicks and advertising revenue?

  10. Feeling lucky, two days in a row the kitty has dropped while my lockpick bonus was active, and then shortly after it expired. yesterday I got three kitties, Today, it dropped twice with the lockpick up and once two clicks after it expired, so 5 kitties today. Otherwise, I'm just accumulating pesos with a drop rate about one per hundred jobs..
