Zynga is going all out to get players in the Arena and they have added Power Ups to the Daily Take. Unfortunately, Power Ups don’t help much in a feature dominated by strong players. So far all Power Ups except the Drained and Stamina Refill have been discovered. It wouldn’t surprise me if Zynga omitted the Arena Stamina Refill because most players use them outside of the Arena. Please let us know if you spot one two missing items.

How do you use the arena stamina refill outside the arena?
ReplyDeleteYou need to enter the Arena to use it but any stamina not used is left in the players stamina pool. Many just enter an Arena fight, don't attack, use the stamina refill. When the 90 seconds is over, the stamina is now available for other in game functions. You just need to make sure the Arena you do join won't level you up or it will be wasted.
DeleteI'm of the opinion that they've also begun to intentionally cripple "normal" fighting in an attempt to push players into the Arena. The number of live targets has decreased considerably, especially considering that there's an ice event (the Family Leaderboard) happening.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, the people who actually are playing with the Arena say it's getting harder and harder to play there too.
Maybe we've finally fallen of the cliff of critical mass in terms of the number of active players, and it's all down hill from here.
I know it is fun to bash Zynga all the time and I am guilty as well, but this 'power ups added to the daily take' is at least a step in the right direction. If the arena was more balanced like the under 1200 respect level, more players would play the arena. 1200-1500 only play each other, 1500-1800 only play each other, etc. But as long as Zynga keeps the present system the way it is, most of us will stick to fighting.

ReplyDelete& for some odd reason the stats of the decent loot items no longer show up in the popup. Hec I can't remember what is what & seeing the attack/defense of a loot item helps me decide which one I want to pick.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it appears that they've put the Power Ups in the Daily Take in place of Skill Points instead of in place of one of the slots occupied by the crap loot that most players already have tens of thousands of, or perhaps some of the other even more useless boosts like "mint on the pillow", etc.

It's only fair that the Arena Stamina Refills can be used outside the Arena, since the Fake Ices for the Arena count as much as real ones, which is completely hosing up the Family Iceboard.
DeleteIn fact, we're getting ready to eject some of the Arena addicts from our Family for exactly that reason - it's unfair to the actual fighters.
