It was 12 days ago when we told you that a server image of a Mission banner called Insurrection In Italy was discovered (1). Some doubted it was real and a few days later it was pulled (1). The doubters were proved wrong when the announcement of the closure of Italy came in the form of a popup today. Many of the loot items that were added to the inventory 4 days ago are for this event (1).
Insurrection In Italy is a two part event just like Cuba, Moscow and Bangkok. There is a Limited Time Mission called Insurrection In Italy. We have a little under 8 days to get it done.
For those who haven’t completed Italy, 5X Mastery is offered for all jobs.
A special loot item called the Kingfisher will drop during jobs and fights. We are limited to 10 of these a day.
At some point we will need a consumable item called the Supersonic Wave Blaster. This was one of the items added to the inventory 4 days ago (1).
To get a head start, ask you mafia to send these to you from the “Get Started” button on the popup you get when you travel to Italy or on the Mission task.
For those short on Lira, remember you can sell items you don’t need anymore and Zynga has added Lira back to the Free Gift Page.

Haven't played in a while so sorry for asking. Is Italy closing or is it just an event?
ReplyDeleteThe mission says "Italy closing in XXXXX" rather than "Event ends in XXXXX" so I'd guess it is actually closing, in the same way that Cuba, Moscow and Bangkok have.
DeleteThis is so fucking stupid. Not that I care about the mediocre stat bonus from the daily craftable item (though it would be nice to keep) but it just dumbfounds me that Zynga would make this move. What's the point? But then again, what's the point in most of this game? You have 501 mafia (ok, some mafias are big), each has a weapon (ok), piece of armor (ok), vehicle (ummm, ok, but where are we going to put the fucking YACHT we're taking to fight?), henchmen (ok, we all have a lackey here and there) and an animal (you had me at guard dog, and lost me at FUCKING SHARK?~!!?!? How the hell am I supposed to take a shark to fight?!) Sigh. Speaking of sharks, this game has jumped one. I quit. Goodbye. Sayonara. Nobody will miss me.

interestingly fishing net drop is on another job "Smuggle Goods Through A Fishery" but the job in mission is different :)
ReplyDeletegonna miss the port. after all the new ny props with +4 and +5 items thought crafting was great but get rid of the port 2 skill points a day 5 if biuld health its same.

New York, Las Vegas, Brazil, & Chicago - yeah, that sounds pretty awful. This is the only game I can think of that takes away levels instead of adding them. Can they stop doing this now? please?
ReplyDeleteKingfisher has a limit of 10/day? Thank you Zynga for not allowing me to get too many of an already obsolete item. I know...it's hard when you can't be pissing off people who have paid for slightly better items. Can't wait to see how you will handle the loyalty program items. Hopefully that's not yet another bust...
ReplyDeleteAlready obsolete? To many of us that don't spend RP on loot the Kingfisher is a +6A item. It would be wonderful if they let us max out on these, but 10 items/day for 8 days gives a +480 boost to the loot scores for free. I'll take it. :)

ReplyDeleteI agree, Vegas should close FIRST, it's been open longer. I've been done with Vegas for a while, but I'm STILL building properties in Italy (guess not for long now). I also agree that starting this event while the "By the Bookie" district is still open in Brazil (not to mention the "Cage Arena" in NY) is just stupid! We finally had a period where we went a few days without ANY events, now they load us up with three at a time?!? I'm almost done with "By the Bookie", but the energy requirements for the ruby level are so high that I'm probably not going to be able to do BOTH the Italy mission(s) and the bonus district at the same time.
