Italy To Close!

Share:

When Leonard Wong isn’t studying, he is busy searching those Zynga servers! Last night he found a good one. The next Mission banner provides clues of another destination set to close. Italy is next on the chopping block and will start out with a Mission Event called Insurrection In Italy. The timer says “Italy Closing In:”  I wonder why they skipped Las Vegas as that destination was released prior to Italy. If you have a lot of Lira, I would start using it to heal.

Zynga needs to be careful with what they decide to do with the Villa. There are Extreme Missions which involve collecting from Villa properties and purchasing items from the Port. Most players won’t get to these Missions for quite some time. They are Extreme!  I don’t think many will be happy about losing the daily skill points that come with purchasing items from the Port as well.

Hopefully Zynga will do something about the crappy drop rates of Collectable Stat Card loot items. Many who spent a lot of reward points to get all of the cards are still trying to get the loot items that are suppose to drop with them.

  1. Vegas is useless, closing Italy is a really stupid move on Zyngass' part. Yes, I count on those skill points each day. They haven't come up with a new country in....how long? That may explain the newspaper article today talking about how much money Zynga has lost. knock, knock, do they get it? screw with the players and the players screw right back at them. I have major issues with my account and have since the beginning. They used to drop rp's on me like there was no tomorrow, not anymore, they basically tell me to f off. I too will be one of the hundreds of thousands that have left this game. Damn, it's so boring now, why do we waste our time?

  2. thats fuckt up thats 1 item with stats and vegas is just useless Keep ITALY and KICK vegas

  3. They should keep Italy, drop Vegas and then make the items we get from the port raise in stats as we raise in level/strength...same for all city properties really. Loots become outdated far too quickly.

  4. Yep Vegas has nothing whatsoever worth keeping!

  5. bullshit.Italy is still ungiftable and they're closing the hardest country to reach upgrading all properties and achievements

  6. I agree, if a location has to go, get rid of Vegas! I collect from the port every day and those skill points are part of my game strategy. Someone needs to kick zynga in the head for continuing to ruin this game.

  7. keep italy...or introduce another city that replaces the soil points it provides.....the extra NY properties will not wipe out tiger claw`s available for 15 reward points, or free 5 health guns......this game takes building on just about everything.....we need THE EXTRA LITTLE BIT OFFERED by Italy....

  8. I agree. I haven't been to Vegas in like a year! Maybe ONCE and that was only because I had to fight 200 times in Vegas for a mission. I don't get the logic behind this!

  9. Damn it, Zynga-keep making us unhappy, and you will be unhappy too-you just dont get it do you ??? Keep Italy open, Lose Vegas, and STOP with the damn NY properties, Fix Your Dang Heal Button, fix your loading issues, fix the stupid glitches, fix the promo popups (only getting 2 out of 4) Stop charging so many RPs for stuff, Players will buy and spend more RP's, if you didnt charge so many for stuff, Come On, GET A GRIP, Start Listening to your players, Give Us What We Want, and You will see returns on your investments. We give you Our Loyalty, Now Give Us Yours, stop fooking us around.

  10. Smart players use Vegas to grab the 10X xp to stam ratios on the tournaments every 4 hours. One of the best leveling tools out there.

    1. tournaments have been closed for a long time (for me) am i the only one then ?

    2. I agree. I win the heavyweight tournament 1 in every 4 tries. Lots of experience for leveling up.

    3. touraments can help on lv up, but how many times do people want to lv up aday my day isnt long enough to lv up as many times as a could (2 energy or stanima packs used (2 lvs)collect from props in brazil2x aday (thats 4 lv ups)buy a energy refill from fight club 400 vic coins (5x lv ups) them mission/family helper bonuses (abt 8 lvs up)and then if you have tool bar theres another 2x boosts aday and also if you do family boss fight u get 15xp for 5 stan (which could take you over 10x lv ups aday)and that is more than enough for me so a dont need vegas :)

  11. I concur entirely, must take it to be another poor judgement call at Zynga games, it should be VEGAS closing, that city is totally useless. of course unless some have not completed it, i've completed all cities since the start, and even the side temporary ones, but as collection missions, i'm glad i'm done with the Italy one, but suffice to say, it wont be the case with quite a few other players on MW. Sure Zynga is hoping on people using up their RP's or buying up more, to do so. better to have 1 million players buying up a few here and there, then being greedy, and lose 1 million, not buying them. Oh, well, will be there loss, i'll just go back to playing my own PC Games, which i have an abundance of.

  12. Yeah Lets Close Down Something Useful And Leave The One That Has No Benefit To Anyone .... Yo I Want Some Of That Their Smoking Over There ..... !!! ... "Cough"

  13. i agree with the 2 Vegas must be the one closed its all useless tourenaments loot drop can get in robbings and money are worthless, players need skill points not crap loots

  14. Oh Bollox, Yet another example of Zynga not having a bloody clue!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Typical Zynga. Take away what's useful to the majority of the players and leave the crap that most don't care about.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hmmm..... didn't they say not too long ago that it did not need to go? I thought they only closed CUBA, Moscow and Bangkok because the formats they were in were open to abuse?

  17. Why close Italy. Vegas should go first but I'm biased. I fight in Italy. Chicago and Brazil aren't all that either especially when you don't have energy to burn. I don't fight there either as a stamina run in Chicago or Brazil only gets me 6-7 ices where as the same stamina run in Italy gives me 3 or 4 times more. Leave Italy open, there's no need to close it. Another dumb move from Zynga.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I not only use Italy for the skill points but also when I'm close to leveling and need to use up stamina. The fight path is very useful to me as I can get close to leveling up w/o going over and needing more xp for the next level. So of course zynga would fook that up for me.

  19. All the people who are advocating to close Vegas are obviously clueless about exp ratios in the game.

Most important, In district 8, in the fight path, lies the highest yielding exp/stam Job "Question Some Meth Heads", giving 2.23 exp/stam, equaling many exp/stam ratios from fighting, but getting it in only a fraction of the time; (less that 30 secs to go through 10K stamina) !!!

(It also has the 2 highest exp/energy yielding jobs in the 136-155 range, with 2.04 and 2.07 returns. Also many people still use the Tournaments for the high exp yields as well)

  20. this is typical of zynga and nothing we say or do will matter, Mark Pincus the CEO of zynga does not have balls, his boyfriend has them. Kind of why I only play very limited now, games boring and they have no class or brains at zynga, so just closing another city to me, fine, go ahead it makes it easier to just quit and block all the games, if they dont care about us, then why care about them.

  21. I agree. Drop Vegas and keep Italy. Zynga has made some poor moves in past several months. I have lost 85 mafia members alone in past month. The way they are going, I will be down from 2200 mafia members to 1600 by the end of March.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Italy is where it all began. Why close it? Bad move on Zynga.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If I was Zynga I would upload images like this just to mess with you. Ha!

  24. If people have extra money they should use it to buy their 500 Fucile De Caccias for their achievement.

    ReplyDelete
  25. So what do we care about tournament,if u think that exp is good for u then you are wrong.Mafia Wars game is based on skills so if u think Italy should close then u got it wrong

Instead Vegas should be the one closing

    ReplyDelete
  26. Vegas ain't useless. I fight in the tournaments regularly and have found the extra exp after a decent tournament run very useful at times

  27. You wrote: "I don’t think many will be happy about losing the daily skill points that come with purchasing items from the Port as well."

    What daily skill point???

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sometime i think that they do that on purpose....Are they want to all players just leave mw????

    ReplyDelete
  29. wtf? italy is where it all began and they're closing it? not to mention the 5 health points i can get there every day. who cares about high xp tournaments? there's no guarantee that you'll reach the world championship everytime you enter. stats are way more important than level anyway.

close vegas and leave italy open. or close italy but transfer the port to chicago. replace chicago's speakeasy with italy's port.

  31. If they're gonna pull that CRAP....They'd better make ALL of the needed parts giftable. At least there would be SOME satisfaction of getting properties fully upgraded. Get rid of the stupid consumables on the jobs raise the completion percent on EVERY job so people have 1/2 of a chance of reaching Ruby Lvl on each tier to get the achievement. Ought to send Zynga a bottle of Windex and a roll of paper towels so they can all clean up their glass belly buttons!!!!!! (Their heads are so far up there, that's the only way they can see.)

  32. im use vegas too.. fight in turnament and get 1200 exp + 400VC just only use 135 stamina :-)

  33. Scrap Vegas, but keep Italy please, its useful...............

  34. What do people mean, "It all started in Italy?" NY was first, then Cuba, Moscow, Bangkok, Vegas... what started in Italy?

  35. If something saying "Italy Closing In" is the only "evidence" that Italy is slated to close, then I just have to say that this is really weak evidence to go on. Come on, "closing in" does NOT mean "closing"!

    ReplyDelete
  36. "What do people mean, "It all started in Italy?" NY was first, then Cuba, Moscow, Bangkok, Vegas... what started in Italy?"-they are referring to where the Real Mafia Started, not "Mafia Wars" - (just saying)- But Please definitely dont close Italy, Close Vegas Instead.

    ReplyDelete
  37. if Vegas is closed so will the slots. i'd rather keep both (Vegas & Italy)

    ReplyDelete
  38. I say close it down i always forget to build there any way LOL. It's one less thing I have to think about and players have too much health and it's hard enough to ice people even when you are over 25K combined like I am. If it closes for everyone there no real loss any way it's a level playing field still.

  39. Another attempt to run all of the vets away from the game so they can kill the goose that laid the golden egg. If it weren't for MW,Zynga would be an afterthought for most people. MW was what got me on FB to begin with an the poor decisions by Zynga will be what get me off of it

  40. A Mafia without Italy is like a hot dog without mustard!

  41. Only an IDIOT would CLOSE DESTINATIONS in their own game (what benefits it would give? except that you WILL definitely lose profits and player base because of that, in exchange for a small dip in server load and game complexity - it's like shooting your own feet, mind you) oh wait, Zynga doesn't have a mind (just a stupid greed)? well then, go ahead (anyway, I'm not playing anymore since a long time so it doesn't matter for me at all - just pissed off by a stupid developer deliberately killing their own game that I used to play and love so much)
