Family Sabotage: Exploit or Inside Job?

The {ASS} Family has many haters and a group of about 20 players (many who were involved in a cheating ring) left the family (1).  Frequent attacks and slander on my own fan page were the chosen methods of retaliation. Today, we were targeted in a manner that did have a negative impact on our family. You can see that the last data point on the Spockholm Family Rank spreadsheet was taken 7 days ago. This was after the exodus and a handful of new players were recruited leaving us with a total of 86 members.

Today when I got online, our membership was down to 41 players. The low point was 26 members.

This isn’t a system or family wide glitch as we appear to be the only family affected and not all family members were removed. There are only two possibilities to explain how this has happened. Either our Godfather or one of the 4 Underbosses decided to remove players from the family or  we are being targeted by someone using an exploit. I doubt it is the former because our Godfather and the Underbosses have no reason to do harm to our family. When we add members back, they are booted again within a short period of time. Zynga is now aware of the current situation and are investigating. We are told that they will be able to find out who removed everybody.

In the past, we lost our entire family to a glitch but this was something different (1). We saw a system wide glitch back in September when anyone could boot a member from any family as long as they weren’t the Godfather/Godmother or an Underboss (1).  The image below was my view of a family I’m not a member of. If I had chosen to do so, I could have booted all family members except for the Godfather and Underbosses. I believe there is a loophole in the system and somehow this can still happen.
