Many predict the recent exploit has the potential to destroy Mafia Wars if it’s not dealt with accordingly (1). The fallout has already put riffs between families. When I initially posted about the exploit, I believed it was specific to one family. Imagine how I felt when links to players in my own family were posted by commenters. Needless to say, drama ensued and the {ASS} Family has quite a few open spots. If you want to join us, just fill out our recruitment form which can be found here. The {ASS} Family has completed 85% of Level 9 in Family Progression.
We are at Level 15 of Battle Mastery and 28th on the Skirmish Leaderboard.
Our Artillery Station is fully upgraded and our Bunker is on Level 5.
We are ranked #3 in all categories of the Spockholm Family Rank spreadsheet.
We are not a warring family and our main objective is to excel at in game features involving families. Many but not all of us use authorized helping tools but it’s not a requirement. Team Spockholm often calls on us to beta test tools for family features. Dedicated daily players who can complete Family Progression and don’t cause drama are welcomed to apply. The minimum requirements are listed below but we do make exceptions. We have 20 open slots and if you have what it takes, apply now!

ReplyDeleteJenny, at first I was impressed by your integrity, but after a while I realised your recruiting process is invalid. Look, you set points minimum for players but you don't mention anything about not using exploits. So if/when the same thing will happen in the future you will only have yourself to blame.

Everyone will use an exploit if it's available, that's human nature. We don't promote using exploits but you can't stop people.
DeleteI don't get it. You implied 20 ppl were removed from ASS for using this exploit. Why bother to replace them if you don't expect new members to not using exploits?

If your not a warring family Why is 5k Health a requirement. You can accomplish all family objectives just as well with 1-2k health.

DeleteIf I had time I would. Many don't realize that I don't have time to play the game like the way most do. I don't really give a rats ass about getting attacked. I get attacked all day long but manage to get many ices a day.

ReplyDeleteI think it is kind of screwed up that you are recruiting for a family (your family)on a MW info blog. Also using spokholm as a treat for your family only...hmm thought they were for the players. Makes me kind of sad about donating to them. I mean if you were going to be nice about it then why can't we all post our family links here (with stats progression and all) and see where people wanted to go. Or maybe have a whole section for it like you do for adding mafia members...just saying.
ReplyDeleteIt's my blog and I can post whatever I want. Do you think Spockholm just pulls scripts out of their ass and releases them without testing? When you get a working product, you can thank beta testers. We have a thread for family recruiting on the fan page. There are over 11K families, I can't let the fan page get cluttered, it's like add me posts. If I needed more mafia, I could use my blog for that as well. It's a small benefit for all the work that goes into this. If you don't like it, don't come here. It's not my fault that other sites don't fact check or provide enough details. If you don't want to deal with an author, go to the wiki, you will find everything you need.
DeleteAnonymous, I think you get it wrong. It's not "a MW info blog". It's Mafia Wars Loot Lady's blog. She could post pictures inspired by MW loot drawn by her 5 years old son/nephew here if she so pleased. Or oryginal Zynga's pictures with comments like "wow!", "phew!", "I just love this one, don't you?", etc. And it still wouldn't be screwed up, it would be her private blog, just like it is now. You and me and 1000s others wouldn't be here then, but that's beside the point.

I think you got me wrong...it wasn't the family advertising it was more of the "we have team spock on our side helping us out so you should join so you have that added benefit"...testing I understand...I am sure the whole team plays MW and they could test it. Maybe the family with the spock tag-seems they are loyal followers. I am sure they promote the tools also. I just didn't think using them to say why someone should join your family (added benefit) was "fair" for lack of a better word. Kinda pulled the other team into it...Like you said it is your blog and please do write whatever you feel the need to...as I said before I was just saying and that is just how it made me feel (and you shouldn't care how I feel)
DeleteI never said it was a benefit or that team spockholm is on our side. I write about their tools so it makes sense that I (and the family I belong to) we be asked to test things. I also said they often call on us to help. They use the Spockholm family more than ours for obvious reasons. Part of this family is testing and figuring game things out. Beta testing isn't always a benefit so to speak. It can take time and things don't always work perfectly the first go around. Ask Pete how much New York cash I have lost! We are lucky that they don't push out scripts until after testing unlike Zynga that releases content that is full of bugs or causes negative things to happen to your account.

ReplyDeleteDont listen to some of these comments. I am in a solid family and we get attacked all day long as well. Seems to be the players and families that spend large amounts of money are going after families and players that choose not too.
I think it is kind of funny that these old bullying tactics are still used. It used to work 2 years ago when it was expensive to heal. Now everyone has trillions of dollars and would probably die of old age before running out of money to heal.
To me it shows how some people have not evolved with better family strategies to play and still use outdated tactics. I guess its easier to pull out your wallet instead of using your brain to figure out better ways.
