No More Guilt for Ignoring Gifts!
When gifts are ignored, a return gift is not sent. The item is simply removed from the ZMC. Players who are still upgrading their properties are having a hard time getting enough return gifts because most are fully upgraded and don’t need the gifts.
Most of us get a lot of gifts in our ZMC. Because we can only accept 250 every 24 hours, it’s necessary to be selective about which gifts you accept. When I see a gift that is useless to me but I know it will help the person who sent it to me, I often accept it because ignoring it will bring about feelings of guilt. Jana and I discussed this problem on a recent episode of the Informant Podcast. After listening, Eike informed us that the Gift Collector resolves this issue and returns ignored gifts. Who knew? On my next run, I ignored all my undesirable gifts and felt no guilt!
It’s important that you keep the “Send gifts back” box checked before you start.
You can see in the log that after a gift is ignored, it is also returned.
When the run is over, you can see how many gifts you returned by looking at the bottom of the log. The number of gifts you accepted for the day will always be displayed on top of the script. I ignored a total 67 gifts but return gifts were sent to my mafia members!
The number of gifts accepted and returned will not always be the same because your returned gifts will not have a return option.
The Gift Collector does three things that Zynga doesn’t. It will track the number of gifts you accepted for the day and display any increases to your scores.
