Players who spent Reward Points to buy off tasks for the End Of Days Limited Time Mission prior to the time it was updated were promised that a refund would come this week (1). I was one of those players and was credited 176 Reward Points. I was notified via a popup when I went to Mafia Wars. I don't know how they determined the refund amount but I imagine they used the buy off purchase difference and did not take into account purchases made to actually complete the tasks (ie. energy/stamina refills and crafting timer speed ups). I always complete Limited Time Missions within 24 hours of their release. I do this so I can post a complete walk through before most players even start. That way readers of this blog know what to expect.

If I wasn't blogging about Mafia Wars, I would never buy off a Mission task as it does nothing strategic for you. When given the choice, I always choose to speed up tasks by spending Reward Points to actually do them. In the example below, there is a 37 Reward Point difference in the buy off of task #2 of Part 9. I didn't buy this task off from the Mission Page. Instead I purchased crafting timer speed ups for my Private Zoo 8 times at the cost of 12 Reward Points each. I ended up spending a total of 96 Reward Points. I would have spent 36 if the Mission had been introduced as it is today (1). The difference for me was 60 Reward Points rather than 37. I'm not complaining about the refund I received. I'm very grateful but based on what I spent, I don't think it was calculated accurately.
