The Mission Construction Worker Bug

Players are starting to notice once they get to Part 4 of the End Of Days Limited Time Mission that their Construction Workers have vanished. I hadn't even noticed until I read a post on the Mafia Wars Maniac Blog. I did the Mission on two accounts and both had missing Construction Workers.

Most found the task "Ask For 20 Construction Workers From Mafia" was auto-checked. Most likely this is because the Construction Workers were removed from the account.

I knew both of my accounts had a lot of Construction Workers. They drop in fights, jobs and robs and you can't gift them. If your Brazil properties are fully upgraded they are totally useless. I had a snapshot saved on my energy account and found 805 vanished. It would be impossible to use 805 Construction Workers.

Leonard Wong got hit pretty hard. How can he go on with almost 10,000 less Construction Workers?

This isn't the first time we have seen this bug. It's happened on three other occasions. Computer Set-Ups in May of last year (1), Body Bags in October (1), and Confidential Records in November (1). Not many will be upset over their missing Construction Worker. They are now giftable via the free gift system and you can get 250 a day if you need them. The take home message of this post should be why is Zynga releasing new content with known bug? We still have a bug in the current Secret District that was present in the one before it (1). If Zynga wants us to spend more money on Mafia Wars then they need to offer a better product and stop pushing out features that contain bugs.
