Today is the last day of the New Year's Resolutions Event. The timer will run out in a little under 20 hours which will put us at 11:00pm PST.
The end time posted on the teaser is 30 minutes less than promised and the start time was delayed by 2 hours. We should get a two and a half hour extension! I know I could use the extra time. I completed the event once but I'm still working on the second round.
It's obvious which loot item will come in first place. Ms. PAC is currently ahead by 325,879 votes. There are a total of 1,442,968 votes at the time of this post.
This is a scary look into the actual player base as most active players should have placed 17 votes. I know many more who completed the event multiple times or purchased votes. One thing this event has shown us is there aren't too many people playing Mafia Wars. I don't think Zynga thought this one through as they falsely advertise on
mafiawars.com that there are over 20 million players.

Some people do not participate in the spammy hoopla! For example, my sister & my cousin login daily just to collect & bank properties & to burn their stamina. They consider 1 hour Mafia Wars too lengthy. I would have to agree, unfortunately I have ocd & am a perfectionist, so all this hoopla calls my name as much as I want to ignore it!

ReplyDeleteI would say most players do not have enough mafia to complete the social tasks. I sure don't. A good portion of my mafia have quit and I'm just not interested in recruiting at this point. What's left of my mafia doesn't seem to participate much in events, either. So I don't think you can tell much from this number.

ReplyDeleteSo many people could care less for their stupid events when they can't fix the regular game play and are so inconsistant with their customer service.
ReplyDeleteI won't be finishing this event, because I haven't been able to access it all. I'm day 6 of not being able to see the event. The drop down from the module does not work, and it is not in the mission bar either. I sent a request for help to Zynga on December 30th. In the meantime, kept trying to get live chat, which has not happened, b/c live chat is really dead chat. As of today, I still have NOT heard back from Zynga... despite 3 tickets filed now on this stupid event that I have not been able to access for 6 days now. I have lost out on a lot of loot that would help my numbers. And if I don't receive a just compensation, much less even hear from them... that will probably be the last straw for me, and will be why I finally quit. Zynga sucks... no ifs, ands or ass about it.
