Gifting Mysteries

Many have noticed that gifts are not showing up in the ZMC right away. For some reason there is a delay. This has nothing to do with the Gift Blaster and is happening when you manually send gifts as well. For more details, go to this wall post on the Spockholm Fan Page.
During the past few days, we have also noticed that many players are able to accept well over 250 gifts per day (1). I haven't been able to find a reason for this. Maybe Zynga is doing an experiment and some players no longer have a cap on how many free gifts they can receive in a day.

    I have today collected 400+ gifts without any issues - made the number about 500 yesterday - but think it was becoz of the mess up Zynga made yesterday - jumped my acception to 250 - but today has been clean and still collecting as we speak!!!!

    Got almost 1200 yesterday with no max hit by midnight. I'm pressing it today for a max. 807 the day before yesterday. Gotta love it :)

    Does anyone know the time limit of the delay?? 1 hours, 2 hours etc?

    why wont people just shut the hell up about this shit. its a great thing until people start talking about it. then z will tweek it and everyone will go boohoo....just shut up and not ruin it for the other 100,000 left playing the game.

    Some friends tested the limit for receiving gift yesterday until it reached the limit 500. Maybe someone can verify this.
