This following message was posted on the Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page (1). Initially I was going to ignore it but too many players keep asking about it. It's all over the news feeds as well. The next time you see this message, roll your eyes and remove it. It's not true and is not on the forums. If Zynga were to take such an action, they would inform us on their blog or Customer Support pages. They would probably ban the script writers and my account as an example because they know word would get out.
"From Zynga Forum: Beginning January 23rd we will be looking for BOT's that violate the terms of service in all Zynga games. Every account will be investigated at that time. Anyone found using any non-sponsored BOT's will be suspended for a period of 30 days for the first offense and a permanent ban for a second offense. We here at Zynga want to make the games fair for everyone, as well as make the game better for all. Thank you for your patience and your support."

ReplyDeleteWhat does this mean? I don't know what is considered abusing them and have not seen the creators recommendations for what I use which is the MW addon scripts.
Multiple scripts, multiple tabs is not recommended.

ReplyDeleteI spent a small money, but put a lot time into the game and annoys me when players are out with millions robbing wins or fights wins. A lot these spent a few minutes setting up a script and then whee tout for a beer.
Please don't tell you need scripts to play game. No i got to level 4000 plus without them. If i don't have time i then don't do nothing.
Only good thing a fighting scripts is they can help you get you 150 ices if you find 2/3 easy who are healing and are quick to ice.

DeleteThat is exactly it, you have spent small $$$ if you spend large sums you want the game to perform the way you want it...script on!!! If they stop the scripts I will move on, manual play with 20k stamina is absolutely cray to spend...I do not have that kind of time. Once you have spent the kind of sums a lot have then you would have a gripe. If you do not want to use scripts don't, but don't hate on the ones who do when we in my opinion have the right because we have bougt it.

DeleteUm, how is that playing when you aren't actually sitting in front of your computer telling it what to do? If you don't have time to play the game, then why bother? Like too many other things these days, people aren't willing to put the time and effort into anything. Money will buy you what you want and apparently it is feeling superior to others by spending money on something you actually spend no time on. We are all doomed.....
if u hve 10k stamina and wanna sit 4 hours clicking for ices , congrats to u , since u have the time , even with scripts 10k stam takes 2 hours to finish and if u can manually click tat fast Zynga wont let u !

We had someone request to be a part of our MW family. Their equipment was good, their level was high, but their ICEs were low. I decided to take a chance and let her in. I contacted her via FB msg and asked her what we can do to help her get her 125 ICEs every day. I recommended using Assassinator or Battlefield, which would increase the speed and ease for her. She said she has never used a script and will never use one. I booted her from the family. :) It's too hard to get 125 ICEs daily manually and she was unable to do so.
ReplyDeleteI get my 150 every day and do not use scripts, it takes me between 90-120 minutes.
Delete90-120 minutes / 150 Ices? What level are you? Once I crossed level 150, forget about it. All I can say is you either have a very fast connection or you have a rivals list of lower levels with very low health.

If spocks weren't around i would not be playing this game anymore.
I have a guy who is 2k+ with very few ices as well. I asked if he knew about aan or battlefield and he completely went crazy saying he wasn't going to be a cheater etc blah blah blah. He went on and on for days. We are lucky if he ices one person a day. I would have kicked him but we are a small group and the gf wants as much help as he can get, even if it is only on job and craft progression from this nut job.

ReplyDeleteThis is a forum to discuss script issues, If you do not feel the need to use them, go whine elsewhere. If you really are over Level 4000 and have never used a script it leads me to believe one of two things:
1) you REALLY need to get a life
2) you are a LIAR
Not every player has several hours a day to sit and be a click monkey, and I'm sorry, you aren't getting 150+ ices a day manually...

Agree, as posted above. 150 a day manually, you either have a rivals list of low health / low level players or you are at the putter all day.
DeleteMy lvl 5500+ goes through 10-12k stam a day to get 150. Sorry, I don't have time to set here and click my life away.
I only click manual during Battles and Mocks. Other then that, I don't play. I let the Monkeys do my clicking.

DeleteAbusive scripts are ones like the cloning script which some traders use to generate loot to sell. The cloning script was the reason Zynga changed gifting so that top loot is now not giftable. Spockholm scripts are not considered abusive.

ReplyDeleteI've been playing since day one...used to not use scripts until i had over 5k stamina...now there is no way I could play a complete set of energy and stamina without scripts without taking a few hours to do so...and since the upping of the max level to 35000...imagine how long it will take "if" someone that does not use scripts to play a single session. If by some slim chance they do start doing away with script players...I'll say farewell Zynga...."No Soup for You!"
ReplyDeleteIt is possible to get 150 ices per day clicking, I use to fight off my rivals list (less stolen ices), and kill same person a bunch of times. Two problems came with it, one being it started clan wars occasionally, and most important was very time consuming. Scripts are a vital part of the game and allows more time to enjoy it too.

Time is the advantage the non paying player has other credit card players has in normal games.
getting your balance right between def/att and ener/sta makes a massive difference in the game. Go extreme on one them you will have boring game with little leveling and some a lot higher then will still beat you or a level 100 or below can beat you.
You just have to laugh at peeps who, when confronted with the facts still don't get it. Daily Average Users under 600,000. 279,000 likes on Spockholm page and over 900,000 downloads of MWAddon. Scripts gone today = MW gone tomorrow

ReplyDeleteEvery one is missing one thing about this rumour. The text being circulated suggests that anyone using 'any non-sponsored BOT's will be suspended' - which suggests sponsored bots are fine! What the hell is a SPONSORED BOT?
ReplyDeleteThe game is not losing players because people use bots/scripts, it's losing players because of something I saw yesterday. A Level 19000+ and level 10000+ in the same tagged family sitting on level 600 players. That's why people get down on the game and walk away!
ReplyDeleteYou hit the nail on the head. Scripts are not killing the game, the LE properties and the icing requirements.
DeleteAs long as you have ice seasons or need 150 ices to collect gold for family progression, weaker higher levels are going to sit on the lower level players to get their ices.
A level 600 player can ice a level 19,000+. All's fair after you get into the shark tank at level 450. The level of a player has nothing to do with the strength of the account. It's where the skill points are applied.
DeleteIMHO The players who see to complain about scripts seem to be the same people who complain about getting iced all the time or taken out in a fight or put on the hitlist. I choose to play the game as a game. With all the cc players willing to spend major money on the game, I will never be the TOP player but if it were not for scripts, I would have quit months ago. One of my most fav sayings really applies here, "A man will be kept in everlasting ignorance exhibiting contempt prior to investigation". Try the scripts - then make your decision. With everything Zynga throws at us daily, spockholms and people like them as the only reason they still have the player base they do.

ReplyDeleteI would not say scripts are ruining the game, however Anonymous 2:02AM is a dick. I guess you have to cheat non stop to be in his family. I do agree with the use of scripts, BUT! at a limited capacity, people using scripts on 95% of the things they do on mafia wars need to just quit. I use battefield, but I accept my own gifts and return them, I build my own loot, ect,ect.
I'll stop using battlefield when Zynga stops stealing from me. How many times have you hit someone and won 250 times only to see a pop up that says "sorry this player is iced"? Who did it? I didn't obviously. There is no chance for revenge, ergo: Zynga is a thief, and I have told them so on chat and e-mail. They started the "Ice Season" and I pounded away so hard I now have two numb fingers and have been told by my doc to stop playing the game. SO......I use battlefield and get 150+ ices a day. If Zynga don't like it they can blow it out their ass.
ReplyDeleteTeam Spockholm makes ONLY non-abusive scripts public (and has a minimum 1-second delay on everything). For example, the blast feature which Battlefield has was not implemented in the game till it was introduced into MW itself. Once Zynga added it, Spockholm added it to AAN. Before that, you had to fight "normally" with it. The only advantage to it is that you won't break your hands. You can click faster manually, so it's not abusive by any means. Unlocked's Slayer mode goes way faster than manual clicking, so that sort of thing may be considered "abusive".
ReplyDeleteI have a life outside of MW and I'm not gonna sit an Click for hours just to try to keep up with players who ARE using scripts to do the same thing. Scripts are NOT a cheat. Scripts just do the clicking for me at a slightly faster pace. I have spent a lot of $$ on MW but if they Ban Scripts I'll quit MW with out hesitation.

DeleteScripts are not a cheat, they are an assist for those who don't have hours to spare and want to participate in Mafia Wars at a higher level. If you don't like to use them, then don't but please don't knock us who choose to use them. Spockholm has made the game far more enjoyable and I, for one, would have dropped Mafia Wars long ago if not for their scripts. Maybe if Zynga had had the foresight to incorporate some of these scripts into the game, participating numbers wouldn't have fallen so drastically as they have done.

When I first started playing 3 years ago, there was an UN-writen rule. 100 levels below you, you were a Bully and got what you deserve,
Now with the Shark tank and the Ice events. All are fair game.
Yes, I use bots. Always have and always will. Yes, I know how to set them to skip players I already Iced and only attack 100 levels below mine up to 25k. I do not have a rivals list and only attack the family rivals when they deserve it. ie, attacking lower levels repeated for days to get there 150 or bloat there person stats.
Both my A&D are 6 times my level and my win / lose ratio is 1:4. That should tell you something about the other players on my server.
Rock on Team Spock, pistol pete and all the others that make this game tolerable. .

At level 945 my attackers list is chocked full of players level 2500k and up...every day, every hour, every minute.I spend more time waiting to heal, than I do actually fighting for an ice. There's no way in hell I would play if I had to manually heal every 15 seconds. Script's won't ruin Mafia War's, but Zynga will. When my fighlist only ranges from 1200 down and every Tom, Dickless and Harry 4000 levels above me can attack me and others my level and lower, that's what's gonna keep the player base from growing. Zynga's continued high pressure tactic's to get players to spend money is what's driving current players away. Zynga's own greed will kill MW...not a script
ReplyDeleteNot against any boots except autoheal....that to me is a cheat, some work faster than others.....Should be fair playing grond.....if I can beat you before you reheal, so be it......I don't use bots for fighting or auto heal and do just fine.....Really can't understand how the higher leveled players can complain that they need to use them since they are so much stronger and can ice folks in an instant......if you don't have time to spend playing the game....get out!

Auto heal is just taking advantage of one of the things that killed the game ...massive health - some players simply can not get iced if they are awake or have autoheal on! I also think that the click monkey scripts have been very useful - imagine using 100K stamina every day - manually = Carpal tunnel Syndrome. And Zynga has not cracked down on the false battles against the fake mini families and the 4-6 times loot they got using Lucifers Family battle battle loot collector - they should investigate the top 100-200 families on the battle list and roll their battle loot back - worst cheat ever!!! And has given an uneven playing field ...

Its a game where we're all really just clicking a mouse one way or the other.The strategy in how we each play differs. Sure its all phoney loot and money and kills. ReplyDeleteRecently I deleted about 500 friends who no longer play. (please remove the app if you quit so you dot still show on my gift lists) its only a matter of time before the game will end due to people quitting left and right.
i am a very high level and have played daily for 3 yrs & i rarely use the scripts except new gift collector. As for getting ices, i manually get them faster than with a script & i ice about 200 a day but i spend 2-3 hours a day playing. i like the scripts and they are helpful but any "good" player can easily ice just as fast as a script manually but you have to have the stamina to do 150+ in a day.
