Family Boss Fight: The Ice Queen

Share:

There is a new Family Boss and she is The Ice Queen. Jimmy Lechon will disappear once you collect your last reward or the timer runs out. The Ice Queen shouldn't be a surprise to anybody as the loot items were added to the inventory on November 1st  and server images were discovered (1). Some families have already defeated The Ice Queen multiple times thanks to a gltich (1).
The Ice Queen Family Boss Fight works like all the others. Find her on under the Bosses Tab. She has 1 million health which is less than we have seen with the past two Family Bosses. Your family gets a total of 7 days to defeat her.
When you arrive to the Boss Fight Page, the Ice Queen gets an icepick and looks really scary.
The lower health sounds like something good in theory but you will find you do much less damage per attack than with previous bosses. When the Rage Meter is below 250, I usually do about 240 damage on the other Family Bosses. I only did 118 on the Ice Queen. The decrease in damage will cause this fight to last longer then the others even though the health is less. The rage meter is also behaving differently. I will update when I figure it all out.
The Ammo Combos are shown below. I didn't notice a decrease in damage that these do compared to the other Family Bosses.
There are 5 new superior loot item rewards. The rare and uncommon ones are the same as they were for the last 5 Family Bosses. I hope Zynga updates that soon as too many players are maxing out on it.
If the Ice Cycle gets you all hot and bothered, you might want to take a cold shower. The best of the superior loot items simply do not drop and only a handful of players will get them. The Ice Cycle is really cool looking! Here is a larger image and probably the closest you will get to one (if your family used the glitch then you already have one or more!).
The last Family Boss, Dr. Sarah Swift, is still available.
If you defeat the Ice Queen before the 7 day timer runs out, there is a 24 hour cooldown timer. The only way to fight her sooner is to spend 25 Reward Points.

  1. Disagreement on the rage details you mention above.

The value of the boss's rage has _always_ floated for me, between 100 and 180 kicking off a debuff being used. It floats toward the high side (160-180) if rage is building up from zero, and toward the low side (100-120) if rage is being knocked down from over 250.

The 250 value is still the number to watch for, with regard to the point at which damage reduces. I do the same damage at 80, 100, 150, 200, and 240 rage, and at 252, it's cut to 3/4. That's the same behavior as all of the previous boss fights, with the exception being we're doing less damage per attack now.

  2. I think this boss is worth boycotting, clearly they want us to gain less loot, it already takes my family over 24 hours to clear a boss with a good number of us running the boss fighter BM

  4. I think the difference in "realism" between the Ice Queen and Dr. Sarah Swift is different. The Ice Queen looks more cartoony, sort of like she belongs in MW2.
