In the post below this one, I addressed a rumor that continues to creep it's way into the Mafia Wars community (1). Why some people claim to know somebody on the inside who states off the record that Mafia Wars will close in 2012 is beyond me. I spoke with Nate and he assured me that at no time did he make the statement in which he was quoted. We saw this same rumor a few months ago (1). A few hours after my post was made, the Official Mafia Wars Blog addressed the rumor again with a post titled Mafia Wars is NOT Going Away in 2012.
Recent rumors about the closing of Mafia Wars in 2012 are false. We are as committed to the continuation and expansion of Mafia Wars as we were 2 months ago.
