Four days ago, I posted a bug which only affects accounts that have fully mastered the Lexington Hotel (1). Not many paid attention because most were no where near ruby mastery. We are now getting a lot of inquiries (as is Customer Support). If they had fixed it before the masses mastered the ruby level, there wouldn't be so much confusion. To reiterate, you do get job payouts including the loot but you won't see it happening. The bug also broke RepeatJob. Here is a reprint of the post.

While working on the walk through for the Lexington Hotel Secret District, I found a bug. Others were able to reproduce so it's not something affecting only my account. Normally when you click the "Do Job" button, a window opens which shows how much energy you have left, your currency, the amount of experience you need to get to the next level and displays any loot items that are dropped.

The jobs are still being performed when you click on the "Do Job" button and you are still get experience and loot. It just appears as if nothing is happening. To verify this, check the loot and boost tracker that is located on top of the Job Page and you will see the numbers change. While this isn't a game stopping bug, it's very annoying. It also prevents job scripts from working. Zynga should fix this before the masses ruby master the district. If they don't Customer Support is going to be bombarded with inquiries because it appears that the jobs aren't being performed.

The "obvious" lesson for the rest of us is to hold off total ruby mastery until the 11th hour of the last day if we need anything less than useful for a buttload of energy.

ReplyDeleteI just ruby'd it and wish I'd seen this before. The loot drops are very uncommon, guess I shoulda went for the loot back when the jobs were cheap...

I've noticed that AND that since I finished I'm not getting ANY loot drops. Just need one more barrel thing too for the woohoo plus 5 ....grumble...grumble... -Texasproud
ReplyDeletei just completed the ruby level in lexington hotel and i got robbed i didnt receive anything. all jobs are done 100% but the corner of the ruby star isnt complete red?
