Ruby Butler Rollback

Share:

Some players received the following email from Zynga. Players who clicked too fast when redeeming their rewards during the Save Don's Dinner event got a few extra Butlers. Zynga has decided to rollback accounts that they determine got more Butlers than they should have but will leave 3 extra ones "as a token of their appreciation".  The funny part about is players are finding they now have 3 extra ruby level Butlers.
Valued Mafia Wars Player,

Thank you for participating in the recent Save Don's Dinner event! We discovered that our system accidentally credited more "Ruby Level Butlers" to your account than it should have. To protect fair game play among all players, we will soon restore the number of "Ruby Level Butlers" in your account to the proper amount. We apologize for our error and any inconvenience it has caused.
As a token of our appreciation, we will leave 3 extra "Ruby Level Butlers" in your account.

- The Mafia Wars Team

I ended up with 38 Ruby Butlers so it will be interesting to see if  I end up with more or less when the rollback (or rollforward) process is complete. All I can say is whenever I click anything in Mafia Wars, I do it fast.

Thanks to Terisa Smith for the screen shot.

  1. Will they roll back the big-spender accounts? Doubtful! What about the accounts which have unreleased boss loot already? What about those which have the best items (and in multiples) from the existing/past bosses? You all know those were not gotten fairly at all! Will they be rolled back...nope!

The inequity in this game makes me sick. Watch for another drop in DAP because of fast-clicking on their "collect" buttons and the continual uneven playing field that Zynga touts that they are trying to protect. Bunch of BS if you ask me....

  2. The only thing you cant click too fast atm is the attack button or you end up at some random Zynga sites or in hospital, I for one have been having this problem frequently and know others that are having it too :(

Shame on you Zynga , shame on you :DDDD

I'll stopped playing now as many players did an I'll only speak badly of the Zynga games.

  5. Sadly, some players that didn't get any "fast click" butlers are getting this message, and when they go to their account they now have ZERO (0) ZIP NADA butlers at all; not even the 3 promised in the message.

  6. Guess they'd rather have people fast-clicking in Facebook ... on the "Block Mafia Wars" link.

They let people get by with "some" exploits (usually those that only benefited a few players) and then roll back the ones that were apparently more widespread. I still see people bragging about having the maximum in NY cash from that LONG AGO but exploit, but they've never had THEIR accounts "adjusted".

In this case, it's only loot items which will be obsolete in a few months anyway ... hardly worth even bothering about, other than a placebo attempt to pacify all the "it's not fair" crybabies.
