Marketplace Promotion Change: 60% Off Reward Points

Share:

If you look closely at your Home Page Module for the Countdown To Annihilation Marketplace Promotion, there has been an edit. Reward Point purchases will be 60% off today.

Before
After
I'm sure you won't miss the pop-up as you will probably get it at least 20 times.
There is also a 60% redemption bonus on Game Cards. The holiday promotion no longer works and Game Cards are full price.
I'm still mad over the fact that the new Crates are not on sale for 6 Reward Points. Until they adjust that, I don't have a need for Reward Points.
If you break down like I probably will, you are better off buying a Gift Card online. Go to https://company.zynga.com/game-cards/buy-ecards to purchase a card. To demonstrate the savings, Mike Nestor purchased a 10 dollar card. He got 151 Reward Points once the 60% redemption bonus was applied.
If you compare this to the 60% discount in the Marketplace, it's easy to see Game Cards are the better option. If you spend 20 dollars and get 2 ten dollar Game Cards on line, you will get 302 Reward Points. If you spend the same 20 dollars in the Marketplace instead, you will only get 215 Reward Points. Keep in mind that Zynga could change the redemption bonus at anytime like they did during the Bloody Christmas Promotion (1)

  1. I wish there was a larger number of people making a stink about this in the Zynga forums. There are a few but to allow Zynga to not discount the crates and other new loot during a "15" bonus sale is utterly a low blow and disgraceful. They have zero respect for the people that have bankrolled this game for the past three years.

  2. I don't know if this was already answered but I spent $30 for 215 RP supposedly on sale as soon as I clicked it, said it was over and to check next deal. I clicked it as soon as it popped up.. I got screwed out of 88 RP. I did leave feedback but of course am still out of the 88 RP.
