Earlier today all players found that they had the same layout as the one brand new player get. Players found they were stuck and could not travel due to the absence of a the Travel Bar.
New Players start out in Chicago and aren't able to travel until they get to Level 25. There are many other things that players under Level 25 can't do and players were getting all of the notifications as if they were under Level 25.
Zynga was on top of this one and a fix was quickly pushed out. I was sleeping at the time so I didn't even notice. You will find a message on top of your Game Header that states "We are aware of an issue currently affecting some players and appreciate your patience while we work to resolve it. Please visit our
Known Issues forum to learn more.".
I did just that and couldn't find anything in the Known Issue section addressing this. The Known Issues thread is a good idea but if players can't find the information they need, it's of no use. Maybe I just suck at searching the forums. The trolls have driven many away from the forums but navigation is another reason. It doesn't help that you are limited to one search every 60 seconds either.

I don't know exactly what they did but the Mafia Wars news feeds issue that many players were having is resolved on my end

Jimmy Nolins found some inside footage of Zynga Headquarters and it turns out they were just messing with us to see how we would react.

ReplyDeleteYou are not alone when it comes to searching Zyngas forums for any of their games. I have rarely been able to find what I need in there. I thought it was just me. Glad to here I am not the only one that feels this way about their forums.
ReplyDeleteActually, the proper term would be SNAFU, not FUBAR. SNAFU is shorthand for Situation Normal All Fucked Up (indicating a big problem) and FUBAR represents Fucked Up, But All Right (indicating that it might be sloppy, but actually does function).
