Those who follow the Family Ranks spreadsheet by Team Spockholm at http://spockon.me/familyrank/ couldn't help but notice a small family of 2 people jumped to the #1 spot on the leaderboard. ♥The ஜ۩۞۩ஜ Lovers♥ Family all of a sudden had over 243 million ices. Many asked about it on the fan page.
By the time I checked out their Family Page, they had one new member and their total ice count was 243,453,777.
I added up the total ices of the three members of this family and it is no where near the 243 million that Zynga says they have.
This is obviously a glitch in the family statistics compliments of Zynga. Team Spockholm doesn't like inaccurate data so an adjustment was made on the Family Ranks Spreadsheet.
The real data points can be viewed on the chart below the graph.
I feel just as bad for this family as I do for the countless other families who lost a good chuck of their ice and kill statistics in early September (1). Zynga has never officially acknowledged this lose but has admitted privately that the data is gone forever. Team Spockholm offered to supply Zynga with the missing data but their offer wasn't accepted. The Family Ranks Spreadsheet has been adjusted so all families can view their real statistics. If you want to view your family, go here for instructions and read the FAQ on the spreadsheet. If you wonder where your lost data went, I think the ♥The ஜ۩۞۩ஜ Lovers♥ got credit for all the missing ices and kills!

how is it that zynga can admit to losing all the data and thats its gone forever, when a few families have had theres added back...?
ReplyDeletei think you like to play on things sometimes
@anonymous, if you listed to the Informant Podcast, Pete discussed this in detail. He spoke with one of the developers about the situation and offered them the data. A few families did get the data back and where do you think it came from? Team Spockholm didn't lose the data, Zynga did. They just chose not to add it back to all families. I don't know what I'm playing on. I do know things that can't state because of an NDA but I try to put out as much as I can. Since this was discussed on the podcast, I was able to write about it.
ReplyDeleteMwG-J was the one that got them back first. It is lost data obviously by Zynga. If Spockholm has the data and Zynga reporting otherwise, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure who lost the info. As a clan leader, we lost nearly 250K in ices when this all went down. Went from 70ish to 160ish in rankings. Getting back up there again, but, we are a smaller family. Zynga should just man up and accept the information. The stats now are not correct for the majority. I think I remember the podcast mentioned above. Was MWG-J that got theirs back first. Wish they would have restored ours...
ReplyDeletewhere do i think it came from??
ReplyDeletewell from Zynga of course because you stated above that Zynga turned spockholm down
I asked for a manual adustment in September and they ignored it.
