The fourth and final unique loot item of the Holiday Treasure Hunt is the Stocking. All four loot items will drop as long as you haven't maxed out on them.
Stockings drop in fights, robs and jobs. If you see a golden present drop, it means that you can open a present. Don't go searching for it in your inventory, it's not there. It's just a notification. For my account, the drop rate doesn't appear to be as good as the Candy Canes and Ornaments but is better than the Wreaths.
Track your progress on the Home Page. You will get an opportunity to open a present when you get 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 and 150 Stockings to drop. Any presents after that will cost 10 Reward Points.
To open presents, click on the "Unwrap Now" button which is at the far left of the banner on the Home Page.
Your present board will remain the same until you get a grand prize item and reset it. I got a Sleigh but will have 5 more chances to open a Naughty List. If you don't use Reward Points and max out (150) on each loot drop, you will earn a total of 24 chances.
The event will expire first thing on Wednesday at 12:00am PST. Most players enjoyed the Holiday Treasure Hunt because it didn't interfere with normal game play and the rewards didn't cost Reward Points. Players who want more presents can use Reward Points so both free and paying players got to participate. Zynga should continue to offer events that don't exclude a large percentage of the player base.

Absolutely - this has been one of the most enjoyable events in quite some time. It hasn't interfered with normal game play but rather enhanced it, hasn't been riddled with artificial delays and requiring us to redo jobs we've already completed, has decent rewards that are useful to the majority of players, and hasn't required expenditure of RP (though the option was there for those who wanted to use it).

In the 4th image down you show a couple stockings followed by a gold wrapped present. I've looked everywhere I could think.. what is that gold present? it doesn't show in my inventory?
ReplyDeleteTo Robert V: the gold present is not a loot item, it's a message telling you that you have a new present to open. (Loot Lady did cover it in a previous post.)
ReplyDeleteIf you find the grand prize, you get a button to reset the current prize board. This allows you to try for another grand prize. I've found two so far.
