Manual fighters may have noticed that the "Dock" option has been removed from the Fight Module. When I do manual fight, I prefer to "Float" it because it's less scrolling on my end. Here were the differences. It's subtle but when you are frantically looking for targets, "Float" is the better of the two options.
Before
Dock
Float
After
No Option-All Float
Cerulean Master explains that this change was made to improve the performance of fighting. I don't think it will be missed or that many players will be upset about it.

The removal of the Dock option was intended to improve the performance of the fight pop-up. CM |
Regardless of how much this helps "fighting performance", there is still a big issue that needs to be fixed. The purpose of docking or floating was so we could attack our next target directly from the fightlist without needing to close out the current fight window. This is no longer an option. When we finish a fight, the only way to get rid of it is to go to the upper right corner and click on the X. The floating screen also creeps down and covers up a lot of the fightlist. Hopefully this is a bug and they don't intend for us to close out our fights when we are finished.

I thought dock was a much better option when you're going for speed. With float you have to close out the box, it takes up the whole screen as opposed to being able to see the whole fight list w/ the module on top w/ the dock. You could just hit someone else to start a new fight instead of xing out every time. Very bad move imo and will be greatly missed by me :(
ReplyDeleteHaving to close the window manually after each fight, even on iced targets, is a HUGE pain, and makes manual fighting take much longer than before.
ReplyDeleteWhen I need ices in a hurry, like before I leave for work, a script is too slow and I fight manually. This change makes that so much slower, grrrrrr
I HATE this new way of having it. It sucks so bad. Speed = gone. And no certain place to wait with the pointer hovering ready to powerattack the buttons off......
ReplyDeleteHate it, detest it, let me dock the blasted thing! We are in a fighting event for cripes sake and every time I close the floating mess it refreshes the fight page! It slows down fighting considerably for a manual fighter and needs to GO AWAY ASAP! This is a major downgrade...
ReplyDeleteIt covers up most of the list for me - if I have the bad luck to get a short listing the ENTIRE THING is covered and I have to X out in order to see the list again. What a pain...
ReplyDeleteAgree with the two posters above. This REALLY sucks and is inhibiting my gameplay. Damn Zynga. Something I enjoyed and never had problems with and they had to screw it up.
ReplyDeleteI would definately have to agree with what has been said above. Not a goos move by Zynga at all!
ReplyDeleteOf all the broken things in the game, why do they choose to spend their time messing with this? Prioritize a little bit Zynga! I certainly hope they bring back the dock option, because now the regular fight list sucks as bad as their battle page
ReplyDeleteITS CRAP
ReplyDeleteVery Very irritating way to fight, I've complainrd to Zynga
ReplyDeleteIf you need to heal and don't heal before you're under 20 it takes away the person u were fighting and pops up hospital, so irritating!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with most of the commenters. The new way of fighting makes it almost not worth the effort. Perhaps if your strength and health is high enough that you always get the ice before you run out of health, you might not see how frustrating it is to most of us.
ReplyDeletenot any fun or worth the effort very disappointing
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the frustrations, new fight scheme doesn't makes sense at all, the old one doesn't have a problem, the new one was just a waste of resources :(
