Lucky Stash Review

Share:

I doubt it's a coincidence that the Lucky Stash loot was updated at a time when the Jackpot range is within reach.
Looking at the past 20 jackpot winners you can see it has hit somewhere between 50,233 and 76,598 Reward Points.
The last Lucky Stash loot update was on August 24th which was one day after someone had just hit the jackpot (1).

It took 26 days before it hit again. It's been 30 days since the last winner but only 1 since the loot update. When it will hit again is anybodies guess.
If you think you will be that lucky player, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. It's impossible to win the jackpot without spending 3 Reward Points per spin. And for fu!#ks sake, can they please fix the error on this page. It's been almost a year since I pointed out the "3nd Credit" error (1)
Upon review of the pay table above, the payouts are not good enough to compensate 3 Reward Points per spin. The odds of hitting something that payout are very slim. Almost every spin you make will contain the ice girl and she is the cock blocker of any type of payout. She usually shows up on the 3rd spot to give you false hope that you may win some Reward Points. Here is how it usually goes down....
The worst is when it happens in a sequence that looks like it could turn out to be a jackpot!
Often you will find the wheel keeps spinning and spinning and you have to close the window to make it stop. You never know what you got and I imagine Zynga just keeps your Reward Points.
The only reason to play the Lucky Stash is to fill your bonus meter. When you get 20 Spins you get a reward. I think Zynga made a mistake by not letting players who spin with 3 Reward Points get 3 ticks. You only get one per spin regardless of how many Reward Points you use. The images below show the meter fills up exactly the same using 3 Reward Point or 1. This takes away all incentive to use 3 Reward Points unless of course you think you are going to be the next lucky SOB who wins the jackpot.

Everyday, we get one free spin. Zynga claims this will make it more fun. You can also get 3 additional feed by scanning the news feeds and playing on your friends machines or you can use the following link to avoid the time consuming search and click method: http://spockon.me/MWLL3SpinsLuckyStash. If players do play on your machine from your posts, you will also get an additional free spin.
You can't save up your free spins and use them to spin for free credits. When free spins are used, the option to play using reward points is grayed out making it impossible to win the jackpot. You do get a tick mark on your bonus meter so it's possible to fill it up every 4 or 5 days.
Depending on where the wheel lands, the bonus wheel offers one loot item or Reward Points.
Most players hope to get Reward Points but it's not as good as it sounds. If the wheel lands on Reward Points, you can only get 5, 10 or 20.
When the loot isn't obsolete, I would almost rather have the wheel land on loot because the majority of the times it hits Reward Points, you end up getting 5. Here are all the new loot items that were added yesterday. Zynga didn't bother to tell us about it, maybe they are waiting for the perfect moment. Fortunately the Inventory History Spocklet found all the new items and players did notice the change.

Wavespiker
Alpaca
Battalion
Anti-Pollution
Kanchil
Capsule Craft
Sling Shotty
Hood Shield
Pallas Cat
Explorer Sub
Hopefully this post prevents players from wasting Reward Points on the Lucky Stash slot machine. Zynga wants you spend money and this is a little gimmick they use to get you to do so. If the payouts were better and more frequent, it would be more fun and possibly worth it. Just like in Vegas, players who win will probably put their winnings right back on the machine and keep playing. Zynga would profit more in the long run. The jackpot can happen and it has. You can read about it here. Another thing Zynga doesn't tell you is you won't get all the Reward Points at once. You only get 1,000 per week. I wouldn't complain but who wants to wait over a year to get all their winnings?
It's probably like the MegaBucks slot machine. When it gets high, people will remortgage their house to try to win. Usually the random dude who puts in 20 dollars and doesn't expect to win gets it.
