Many players can't even get into Mafia Wars, we already got something new today so here is another event to keep those of you who can play even more busy. This one is called Urban Agents.
To learn more, click on the help mark from the Home Page. You may be a little surprised by something casually mentioned in the first line. "Prepare yourself for Henchmen, coming soon, the newest item category in Mafia Wars!". So it looks like in the near future we will have attack and defense weapons, armor, vehicles, animals and now henchmen to worry about getting 500 items for each. It's hard enough with 4 categories. This will help player retention for sure (sarcasm).
This event works just like the
X-Men and the
Farmers Insurance Events so I won't go into to much detail. Read the linked posts and substitute Urban Agents with X-Men or Farmers Insurance. If Zynga can continue to copy and paste and not put out any information about new events then so can I. Click the UA icon to open and close the Event Bar located in your Missions Bar.

I've picked up a cab driver from a job so they already have something not right.
ReplyDeleteNot working properly, did a 1500 stamina run in Brazil and picked up 12 cab drivers, 5 bartenders and 5 garbage men.
ReplyDeleteAll of which would have been fine but my inventory only shows 3 cab drivers, 1 bartenders and no garbage men.
Did they legalize Marijuana in Zyngaville, cause they are smoking some serious stuff, 2600 stamina and got 2 cab drivers, only 1 shows up, It should have been 2ynga, 2 young nerds gaming attempt

ReplyDeleteInteresting - I haven't done anything since this showed up and I already have three cab drives and one bartender. Freebies, or bait so they can wait until I've finished and then roll me back claiming I had an unfair advantage?

ReplyDeleteAs you can see, we have 14 days to finish this event, so drop rate will be very bad. If you want to finish it in 5 minutes it is your problem not Zynga problem.
what is teh best job to farm items from jobs?
ReplyDeleteI've collected a bunch of these things this morning - from playing and observing, these are my thoughts - If using the crew member to get double loot in Brazil, you wont get double on these guys. If fighting in Brazil and getting 5x each item, you will only be credited for 1x each item (this was the very same for x-men and the insurance promo).
ReplyDeleteOne thing that does seem different - i'm sitting with 13 cab drivers - with the other events you had to gift the extra 3 away before they disappeared, either gift to friend or post to news feed - dont have either of these options with this event! I have just checked inventory - all 13 are there and showing as live in my defence score.
I am assuming that the idea is to collect as many as possible if they are looking to bring 'henchmen' as a new category - the more you get just now, the quicker to arm your 501.

ReplyDeletethis whole event is an rp grab the oldmen and garbage men dont drop unless your sitting on 20k energy and stamina.. i leveled 15x with 6500 energy a pop dropped 1 old man it cost me 30 levels to get 1 garbage man i now have 2 of each of them and over 40+ of all the others.. bloody game has become a joke

ReplyDeletefor each complete set you get a waitress. have 2 at this moment...but some items have a very low drop rating ( garbage man ,fights)(old man from jobs)
ReplyDeleteI have 43,000 energy and have leveled up over 400 times in the last 2 days. i've collected almost 1000 of each of the "Job" items but NOT A SINGLE ITEM from fighting...i'll guess i will have to buy the rest of the items
ReplyDeleteNo garbage men for me...and I fight a hell of a lot. I have been doing all my jobs and fights in Brazil. I was wondering if the garbage men drop in another city. Now I know. They just don't drop at all. Maybe as we get closer to the end of the event they will start dropping.

I've dropped a few Taxi Drivers while fighting NY. I suppose that's logical given the association of yellow cabbies with New York. I've had only one Garbage Man in several hundred levels. I've tried different jobs in different cities. I've dropped no Henchmen in either Italy or Vegas.

ReplyDeleteFighting in NY is how I got my Garbage men - never turned up yet fighting in Brazil for me - Old man I got in secret district of Brazil but you have to level about 10-20 times in a day to get maybe 1
ReplyDeleteMeh 14 day is plenty to get a few of the waitress bonus items..this is NOT like Xmen and Insurance, because you don't just get to keep 10..you get to keep ALLLL of them..so keep working on it..quit whining..be happy it isnt just NY, Vegas, Italy, and Brazil for the next six months...these people at Zynga make irritating mistakes..but so do all humans..they do put out new crap for us almost every week and sometimes twice a week...so really how babified are these total weenie whiners?...enjoy the free stuff..quit griping about RP...Zynga employs a lot of people and they aren't all riding around on yachts...their techs probably are paid between 40 to 80k a year which is about right for that field..when you have attained a technical degree and worked your way into the business, then maaayyybeee you would have the LEGITIMATE right to whine..of course you will whine anyhow..cause thats what you truly get enjoyment out of in life..not the game but whining...geeze give somebody something free and they whine about it...pay the people to keep working on getting everyone else free upgrades..and the ones who dont pay whine about it...get real people..you dont get something for nothing....and if you didnt build it yourself, why are you gripiing..move on move away go away whine somewhere else

ReplyDeletehenchmen awards for fighting will zing on by with the regular loot and pics of your friends giving you 2x xp and the vcoins ... HOWEVER.. if youre hitting the attack buttons like a mad man, thats all you'll see ... henchmen zing on by, and it will not register to your stats, inventory, or their cool little header of how many you have collected already .. youre SOL (once i realized it was clicking too fast, i slowed down and every single henchmen from that point has 'stuck around')
ReplyDeleteHey now ! I already have at least one of all giftable henchmen in my inventory. Kept them on my wl daily for months but finally got through them all. Now, 500 of any one of them them ? lol Yeah, Santa will be around one of these days........
