X-Men Loot Drop Event Walk Through

The Men First Class Loot Drop Event leaves one with many unanswered questions but it's actually an easy event to complete as there is a lot of variety in how you can obtain your loot items. As usual, Zynga hasn't put out much helpful information. Find the event on the Current Events Home Page Module. When you first get the event you will have a "Play Now" and a "Share Items" button. You will notice an Z-Men Crest located on the far right of your Missions Bar. Click on it to get a list of the X-Men items and the number you own of each. Click on the Crest again, now located on the far left of the Missions Bar to remove the tracker.

Hover your mouse over any item to get the name or go one step further and click to get the stats and a larger image.

You will notice that all the loot items are giftable and can be added to your wishlist. The stats are nothing to get hot and bothered over but they will help your lower level mafia.

From the initial Home Page view, click on "Share Items" and a news feed post will be generated. When your mafia clicks on 'Find X-Men items', you will get one of the items.

There is a limit on how many of your mafia can get an item from these posts. I'm not sure what that is and can only hope that Customer Support will post it in their FAQ page. I miss the 411 guy!

Click on "Play Now" and the Module will change to the actual event and more information is provided. The first 4 items drop from doing jobs and the last 3 from fights. Sounds easy enough.

It gets a little more complicated when you click on the little yellow question mark for more details. We are told to collect all 7 to get the mastery item of Magneto's Helmet, send special boosts to tripe the drop rate of the items and we can send extra items to our mafia.

The boosts can be found on the Free Gift page. There are two different types. Magneto's Magnetism and Frost's Diamond Form. They don't tell us what the items do until you get them in your inventory.

They aren't located in the Inventory Items page so don't waste your time searching for them.

Find them on your Boosts page. We learn that Magneto's Magnetism will give you two extra X-Men fight loot items and Frost's Diamond Form will give you two extra X-Men job loot items. There doesn't appear to be a limit of how many we can own at one time.

Here is an example of what happens when one of these boosts are utilized. You get 3 loot items instead of 1.

They aren't always identical items and if you're lucky you can get three different items on the same drop.

The loot items don't always show up when fighting but if you see your boost was used, it means you got something. Just look at your Missions Bar to see what you got.

If your mafia hasn't sent you many, use the Get-a-Nator or do a Facebook refined search to find them. You really don't need a lot of the X-Men loot items to fully master the event but if you want to help your lower level mafia out and send them a lot of good loot, this is the way to do it.

If you don't get hyper links in your Facebook search, simply highlight the link and select go to the link. This will make the job much easier.

When items drop from jobs, they will show up on the job box and not appear as a popup. I think Zynga is learning what not to do.

In fighting they will appear at the bottom of the fight page. The fighters would have been pissed if these things were popups.

The job loot items don't seem to drop as well. I did the job "Make Arrangement for a Visiting Don" in the Boss Tier of New York and didn't do so well. I spent 7,524 energy and only got 2 items.

I did a lower energy job "Hijack a Semi" in the Associate Tier and got 2 items but only spent 3,171 energy.

I did two large stamina runs and found that only the are logging in Brawler and I ended up with more than what was on the log. I did use my boosts so that probably accounted for it. Both runs were done in Brazil. Please note that if you have more than 10 items, the number will appear in yellow. From the time you acquire the extras, you have 30 minutes to gift any over ten to your mafia.

You can also get the items from your news feeds. Look for the posts that say "Free X-Men items for 30 minutes only!" They don't always match what they are advertised for.

If you try to grab one after the 30 minutes have passed, you will be told the feed has expired. All extra items will be removed from your inventory 30 minutes after you get them.

To generate the post shown above, click on an item image that you have extras of from your Missions Bar. Click on post to generate the feed.

I wish I had known about the 30 Minute Rule after my fighting run shown above. You can see what happened to all my extra items. They went poof into the Zynga Black Hole.

To try to get a lot of these items, use the Event Scanner by Team Spockholm and set it for 0.5 hours. Just make sure you don't forget about it or all the posts will be expired by the time you get to it. The X-Men Event items can be found under the index tab. Note that the initial feed post shown at the start of this post is not timed. It will say "The search for X-Men: First Class begins" in the description. The timed posts will say "Free X-Men items for 30 minutes only!".

You can also send X-Men loot items to mafia members of your choice. Find all the items on your gifting page. You can get rid of the items you have less than 10 of this way. Only extras can be gifted through the news feeds.

You can fully master the event purely through gifting. Mike Nestor sent me all the items I needed and I got the Bronze level Magneto's Helmet. I didn't have a "Collect" Button on the Home Page but the item was in my inventory. Who says they don't like gifting events? Once you master the event the items are useless so you might as well gift them away and save your mafia members from using energy and stamina or going on a X-Men Safari.

When you get 1, 2, 3 or 4 of each item, you will see a "Collect" button on the Home Page. As stated above, it's not always there so you will have to look in your inventory to see that you got it. This is like all other loot items with stars. You only get one item and the stats will change depending on the color of the star.

Once you click on "Collect", you get an opportunity to generate a piece of spam.

It a useless post. When you mafia members click on "Play X-Men event, it just directs them to the Home Page.

Once you collect 4 of each of the 7 items, you will get the Magneto's Helmet with the highest stats. The event is actually very easy to complete and there are a lot of ways to do it.
