The developers are hard at working fixing the issues that are causing game issues. It appears on of the problem was a banner on the Game Header. That's being removed. It's recommended that you go to mafiawars.com (which actually redirects you to mafiawars.zynga.com) to play.

Many players have reported that they are experiencing and issue with the Spinning Revolver which is preventing their game-play.  We apologize for any inconvenience or interruption that this has caused to your game-play. This is due to updates that were released today, and the development team has been made aware of this issue.  They are currently working on pushing a fix that should resolve the matter for most players. At this time we are advising players to access the game via www.mafiawars.com  Most players have stated that this has resolved their access and spinning bullet issu. Please allow some time for the fix to populate across the platform for all of our players.  Should this issue continue to persist after several hours, please email us through the following link. http://support.zynga.com/CP_ContactUs?gameid=0 Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and want you to know that the issue is being addressed, and we appreciate your patience during this process!
