How To Get Lots Of Ferry Passes

Share:

In my post about the new Challenge Mission: Staten Island, I reviewed all the different ways to get Ferry Passes(1). Since then I've had time to go collecting and found it's very easy to acquire a lot of them without much effort. You can get 200 a day from the Free Gift system (providing you don't accept other types of gifts). Using a combination of Spockholm Mafia Tools, the process of doing this is pretty easy. For more detailed instruction on how to do this, go to my post titled Bagman-Mugger Automates the Free Gift Get-a-Nator. First do a large scan using the Free Gift Get-a-Nator and wait for the Ferry Pass links to load.
Next copy the short links located in the bottom box.
Now go over to the Bagman-Mugger and change the time setting to 1,000. Click on the Links List box to clear it.
Paste your short links from the Get-a-Nator into the Links List box and click the start butto located at the bottom of the script.
A nice feature of the Bagman-Mugger is that it will keep track of how many free gift you have accepted for the day (only gifts that were accepted using the Bagman-Mugger will count). I had to do 3 runs to eventually reach 200 Ferry Passes. It's best to space your runs out or you will end up getting a lot of errors due to the fact that you can only accept one free gift from each mafia member per day.
There doesn't appear to be a cap on how many Ferry Passes we can accept from the news feeds.
I did a few large runs with the Event Scanner, also by Team Spockholm, and stopped at 51. Instructions for using the Even Scanner can be found here. Ferry Pass posts are located in the Index Tab along with other types of posts so you have to do some scrolling to find them.
I took screen shots of my Ferry Passes from my Inventory Page before and after doing this.
Some players are confused and think there is a cap because you often get the message below. This is because there is a limit on how many Ferry Passes can be passed out for each post. This doesn't mean you can't accept anymore, you just can't collect any from that particular mafia members post.
The request are only good for so long and do expire and you can only collect one from each post.
The fighter are having no troubles accumulating a lot of Ferry Passes. You get one per ice. Since I don't have a fighting tool that will log loot, I had to do some manual fighting. I sort of wasted stamina because I fought in Brazil but that was the quickest way for me to do it. If I fought elsewhere, I probably would have gotten more ices. I used 6,726 stamina and then ran the Inventory History bookmarklet to see what loot I acquired from the fights I did.
I ended up with 19 Ferry Passes. If I spent the time to use the same amount of stamina in a different destination, I would have gotten 5 times that assuming all other variables remained the same.
The last way to get more Ferry Passes is to collect them from the Staten Island page. Once a day you can collect more. Yesterday we got 20 and today it's 30. we won't know how many Ferry Passes we will need for Chapters 2 and 3 until they unlock.

  3. I'm now getting a message that I've collected the max number of passes for the day when I click on feed posts. ("You have already the max Ferry Passes you can receive today." -- gotta love Zynga grammar.) I don't know the exact number I've collected today, but it's definitely less than 10.
