For such an easy event there sure is a lot of confusion. Hopefully the walk through I provided will help you (1). Here is a developer response on the forums that answers some of the many questions players still have.

Quick response to some questions I seen in here: What do you need to master? 1 of each item per level mastery i.e. 1 of each item = Bronze, 2 of each item = Silver and so on and so forth I don't have a collect button? When you have enough for mastery, the item is automatically added to your inventory. The Collect button will ONLY appear on the Homepage if you have been awarded the mastery item. The Collect button provides "closure" that you have the item and an option to post your event status at that time. But again... the item is already added to your inventory by this time. I had 11 of an item and it disappeared? 10 of any item is the max. Once you exceed that amount on an item you have 30 minutes to make a decision on what you want to do with the extras before they are automatically removed taking you back to 10. You can do nothing and the items disappear at the 30 minute mark (each item has it's own individual timer btw), you can gift the items away to your Mafia members (this option is available from the start of the event, we just don't provide notice on this option until the player has maxed out for themselves first) OR you can post a feed which also has a 30 minute timer on the availability of the item/items after it has been posted. The feed has limits on it though... say you have 14 of any one item and you post a feed... I smirk at this because you guys hate posting feeds/spamming... but anyway, the feed will automatically be for the amount of items you have over 10. In this case 4 item will be available for 30 minutes from the time of the post. if no one collects the items disappear. *About drop rates... there is a lot of speculation about which jobs to get the items from the best. Traditionally there is the habit of going to NY and spamming the easy jobs. Although this may seem like a logical strategy, the drops are actually weighed against your overall energy number you have to the job you are trying to get items from. Here's an example of what that means... if i have say 2000 energy and do a 2 energy job your drop rate will be very difficult (with no risk usually no reward)but if the job energy is say something like 80 energy your % rate to get an item will be increased. Reasoning behind that, is so people could continue in the their normal city progression rather than having to break that progress just for the event. It is by no means is a guarantee that you will get items it just increases the drop % possibility. Hope this helps and thanks for playing.
