Injected But Not Ejected

Share:

A while back there was a major exploit in Facebooks system for buying Reward Points. I warned you not to buy Reward Point injections from the black market as there would be a great risk of getting your account suspended (1). A Customer Support document which has been pulled addressed the mass banning of accounts. Try the link to this page by clicking here and you will see it's gone. Fortunately, I take a lot of screen shots so you can still read it below.

Zynga didn't actually ban everyone they caught using the Tamper Data system to inject Reward Points. It's no secret that members of the group ™● were caught injecting their accounts. The video below was all over the internet at one time. If you can't view it because YouTube has blocked it in some countries, go here. I mean no disrespect to ™● and assume they have done something about their members who were caught. I don't know enough about the situation to say one way or another. This happened in other clans as well and groups can't always control what all their members do.

Here is a screen shot of the Tamper Data instructions posted by a member of ™● on their group wall.
And here is one of a member addressing account suspensions within the group. It's a well know fact that the players shown in the video above were simply rolled back to the status they were at before the injections took place and no permanent suspensions were issued.
Here are the instructions that were shared by many and reported to Zynga at the time. This method no longer works but I still blurred out some of the code so you don't waste your time trying. How many accounts are still out there that successfully used this method is a question I don't know the answer to.

1.  Install Tamper Data AddOn for Firefox
2.  Clear All Cookies & Sign In To Desired Account
3.  Go To MarketPlace
4.  Click Buy More
5.  Choose Package ( for instance 1k RP) - dont click continue yet
6.  Open Tamper Data Under Tools Menu
7.  Click Start Tamper
8.  Then Click Continue On RP Purchase,
9.  A lot of requests will pop up. Keep clicking submit until
you get a link saying .....ajax/flows/..... in it
10. Uncheck "continue tampering?"
11. Click "Tamper"
12. Find "Order Info" On The Right Hand Box
13. Scroll through the code until you get past temp.id
there will be a long number starting with 22 & 19 digits after
14. copy the 19 digits &
15. Replace with the code
( -9007383065878763074 for 1k RP for 120 credits)
or copy following line and Ctrl + A, then Ctrl +C the entrie line of code ( 1k rp code in this line)
16. Click OK & submit
17. a dialog box will come up. Hit OK or cancel (it dosen't matter)
Your new price will appear: "1000 RP for 120 Credits"
18.  Click 1000 RP button & If it disappears right away it means it failed.
If it changes to loading and takes a few seconds to click over it means its worked.
*** Note At Different Times Of The Day This Method May Not Work Due To Server Load,
Don't Let That Phase You keep trying it WILL Work!

This may not seem like a big deal because after all the players involved were just taking advantage of a few billion dollar companies and nobody got hurt. This actually is not the case. There are big players in the game who spend a lot of money legitimately purchasing Reward Points to make their characters the strongest in Mafia Wars. I'm not talking about a couple of thousand dollars either. The players involved who used the Temper Data method shown above, systematically did so to calculate the stats of players from other clans and proceeded to make them public. This violated the privacy of many players who didn't want their Mafia Wars statistics to be common knowledge and they are not happy about it. All Zynga did about this injustice was roll back accounts. The players who were violated have taken the issue to the FBI Cyber Fraud Division.

"Some of the biggest names in the game used Tamper Data, hacked Facebook payment systems, bought 30k rps daily for 300$, committed cyber fraud which is punishable to 10yrs in prison and Facebook didn't even disable their account let alone Zynga.  We have the proof, it has been turned over to the FBI Cyber Fraud Division so I sure hope everyone involved in sweeping this under the rug has all of their ducks in a row."/Anonymous Source

This can be classified as a Cyber Crime and it violated something that any family or clan members hold near and dear, the privacy of their stats. This was a hack and is a felony. Go here to learn more Computer Crimes and what can happen to those who do them.

  1. I was amazed that Zynga didn't prosecute these people. They stole revenue from them and all that happened was they got rolled back. Granted, a lot of the people that got caught doing this were big spenders to begin with, but is Zynga so afraid of losing any future revenue from them that the little slap on the wrist was all they got?

  2. Hmmm..... What are the odds of a Level 1700 Account having 12,000+ defence, 12,000+ Attack and it All being actual correct purchases and not hacked?

Hahahaha, you better think WAY WAY bigger than that my friend. That is not that big.

  7. I get that this is f'd up but it would be way more f'd up and an absolutely ridiculous use of tax receipts and government enforcement resources to actually have an FBI investigation and prosecution of people (many if not most of whom are probably outside the U.S.) for the sake of protecting "the privacy of Mafia Wars player stats." Especially considering that Zynga doesn't seem to particularly care. Give me a break.

  8. Why do players value their stats so much? If it were public, the worst that could happen are enemies buying RP to buff themselves just over you, but you could do the same thing.

  9. At one time loot lady was one of the largest sellers in the game if memory serves me correctly she new all the tips and tricks to do these hacks as well as did injections for people and cloned loot. SO DO YOU HAVE ALL YOUR DUCKS IN A ROW?

  10. LOL, if that were true I would have stuck with it as I'm sure it's a lot easier than trying to keep up with Zynga and their updates. Funny how when someone feels threatened by anyone in this game they accuse them of doing things they shouldn't be. Almost every admin of every trading site gets the same accusations whenever they ban people for not following the rules. Nice try buddy. Sign your name if you want a statement like that to have any validity.

  11. Its funny how they suspend me for a week for sending too many FR and dont do anything to cheaters and thiefs :( All those players seen on the clip still play the game... They should be baned for life. They destroy the whole idea of the game.. Im quite sure they have, are and will seek for ways to cheat :(

  12. As Long as there have been games and for as long as there will be games you will find that there are some people that feel a need to cheat.. These people are people that hate to loose. Personally I think it sucks to cheat and when a cheater beats me I wonder if it was all worth it.

  13. Those guys cheat because they need to make up for their small....ehem......equipment.

  16. kudos jen for bringing this to the forefront, never in a million year did i think you would actually put this out there. injections continue to happen so i assume zynga continues to open a backdoor. seems like injections always pop up when a big war is in progress. you can hate zynga but they do what they do and do it good. they allow injections so legit players can boost up to beat them. they can track weapons parts storage accts or track loot through various account but they cant track and shut down injectors and injectees?

  17. A shoddily managed business like Zynga has no interest in anything other than making as much money as it can as fast as it can for as long as it's run lasts. I have never seen any company operate with such antagonism toward their customers.
Since I started with them I've watched as they've changed apps and taken away opportunities to win RP's, destroyed loot drop rates etc and turned the game into a begging spam fest and a free gift nightmare. The recent massive drop in monthly player numbers when they turned the energy pack app into spam hell verifies that.
Their sole operating procedure is to frustrate players into breaking out their credit cards in a vain effort to a be a strong player and push that tactic to the breaking point. The "new" energy pack app is merely a result of players quitting when Zynga went too far.
Every (honest) possible angle or strategy to make oneself stronger without a credit card has been removed or dwindled away to almost non existence with total disregard to not just the credit card player but to all of us...and with all of this folks are surprised with Zynga's response to this latest exploit?
Shoddy behavior by Zynga emboldens shoddy behavior by their users. Zynga knows this and if it doesn't affect revenue the don't care. Their reaction is the same as it's always been...It was the LEAST they could do! Literally!

  18. >>Why do players value their stats so much?

For me, it would be quite embarassing if it was common knowledge that I have spent tens of 1000s of € for Mafia Wars!

  19. @Sucinum
Sure, that's a legit complaint (maybe you'll get better returns on your $ in the stock market). Any other reasons?

  20. I knew abt TM making use of this glitch but wow some of the biggest names are jus plain cheats! It really demotivates us to know its no use to spend anymore..I hav stopped spending on this game after i read abt some big names cheating their way up! Much respect to you Jen for bravely posting this.Screw those losers in real life who cant do stuff the normal way..Weirdos!

Hello Guys Grow up, Its just a game & the ppl who spend their money are rich ppl, they dont work hard to spend they valuable money on a game.. they might be getting the money from their parents or BF(who cares).. If they dont care about their money then why do they cars how other's incress their stats........I have to appri Lootlady for putting light on this issue.. TY.... ... Last Question, Is there a bigger name then Osama Or Obama right now.

  25. Some guys in my mafia say they have mafia wars friends that have spent well over $100,000 in 2 years on Mafia Wars. What the hell is Warren Buffet doing playing Mafia Wars?

  26. so i made a comment earlier about how these injections pop up often and are never alway caught. i was then thinking what if zynga itself is making these injections available, that would give them money on the back end they dont have to report lol. i know its a stretch but sure would make sense why a company would be so eager to sweep felonies under the rug with a slap on the wrist.

    ReplyDelete
  27. yeah... afterall you have to spend some. i always see some glitchs as a proposal thing. like one older one with the energy boost never consumed.

  28. The sad thing is that most people think this is a "recent" thing lol. To my knowledge this has been going on for at least a year, more than likely longer than that.
