We've all seen inbox messages or news feed posts about Reward Point Injection services. According to the latest batch, there is a new way of doing it that is "100% Safe". The new method requires that you buy a certain amount of Facebook credits then hand over your Mafia Wars account to the service provider (after you pay him or her as well). If you don't know the service provider, you are crazy to even think about giving them access to your Mafia Wars account. That's not a back scheme for the hackers. Not only do they get your account without having to figure out the e-mail and password, they get paid by you to do it. Now if you do know the service provider and feel safe with them, you are still at risk of losing your account. Zynga doesn't mess around with this stuff. If you are getting Reward Points through channels other than Facebook and Zynga then you are basically stealing from them and they will come after you. You may not feel bad for stealing from a multi-billion dollar company but the people you really hurt by doing this are the players who have paid thousands of dollars to make their characters strong. Jason, the Godfather of The Mafia Protection Racket [M.P.R.] and author of their blog addresses this issue HERE. He knows someone personally who had did use a Reward Point injecting service. As of Wednesday, this is what his account looks like when he attempts to play Mafia Wars. Who knows if he will get his account back or what Zynga will take away.
Zynga is aware that these services are out there. On Jan 19th, many accounts were suspended for "extremely severe infractions"(1). Does Zynga consider paying for Reward Point Injections a extremely severe infraction? You bet they do and I guarantee those providing the service are not advertising from their main accounts. By purchasing Reward Points in this manner, you are risking your account and those you are paying are risking nothing.

Great article. I am going to repost because I know there are people that need to read this!
ReplyDeleteI wouldnt take the risk iv put to much money into my player to risk either being suspended or having my account stolen!!
ReplyDeleteAnd to pay someone who could steal your account is a joke theres to many risks involved i might be being thick but it all seems a little complicated lol
I can't imagine anyone 1)paying someone to play your game and 2) giving open access to your account. That's just crazy!
ReplyDeleteI know a ton of people that use Point Injections ! I have seen people that i can crush go to gods over night . Some of them have told me they done this and i told Zynga and gave them the email too but they let them keep there account and keep playing . I have not used this and will not because i have to much money in my account .I think it is wrong but if Zynga will not look it to this more and let people keep use it then i do not blame people for using it .
ReplyDeletethe block referred to above in my experience has nothing to do with RP injections. All the ppl I know who have had this acct suspension was from running 2 or more bookmarks at the same rtime in different tabs/windows. There ways of doinfg SQL injection which do not involve credit card or any other fraud. Anyone dumb enough to spend real world cash on virtual crap deserves all they get. NOTHING
ReplyDeleteyeah meanwhile becuz Zynga is focusing all their efforts on these idiots, my issues go unresolved... Just goes to prove that if ur not a cheat, u get no attention at all ... no sympathy for either side... crash n burn.

ReplyDeletePeople are playing this as recreation, so why not spend money on it. You pay for cinema, dinner, parties, why not to improve your mafia wars character. I personally would not pay 5 to 10 dollar for a loot item, but if some people do, why not. And don't forget that these people pay for YOUR free game.
Anyone thinking he can get more for less by cheating around deserves to get NOTHING.
having been in the entertainment industry, I can tell ya, Dr. Dre, Microsoft n the other sponsors are paying to advertise for this "FREE GAME"... the rest is pocketed... don't fool urself.
ReplyDeletezynga does nothing about injected accounts. there are known injected accounts that have been reported repeatedly by hundreds of different players and nothing is ever done. i say, if zynga doesn't dissuade people, then why not inject. i've been in a war with injected accts and zynga only placates us by saying they will "report it the appropriate department" but "privacy issues prohibit us from informing you the results"... well, the injectors are still playing, so i already know what zynga has done... nothing. if i knew how to do it, i would... but i won't hand my acct over to a stranger.
