I discussed the Hung Chu Enforcer in my Crossing The Line Mission Walk Through (1). I explained that it was an old Bangkok Crate item available in the Marketplace and had a pretty sorry drop rate. Although you can buy Hun Chu Enforcers for 2 Reward Points each, it would be a waste because they won't count towards your totals for the Mission task. We saw the same thing on the last Mission with the Canister Bombs. I bought one and took before and after screen shots of my Mission totals and you can see it didn't count (yes, I refreshed).
The fact that clicking on the Hung Chu Enforcer from a Mission loot drop image verifies that they only count when looted as there is no option to buy one as there is when you view from your inventory.
You would be silly to try to purchase 12 Hung Chu Enforcers from the Marketplace even if they did count because you can just buy the task off for 18 Reward Points. It would cost 24 Reward Points to buy them individually.
In past Missions there have been workarounds to get items from gifting rather than using energy. In some you needed to be the gifter and some the receiver. This worked perfect for the Canister Bombs on the last Mission (1). Zynga must have caught on to what we were doing as it doesn't work this time. I received 12 Hung Chu Enforcers on an account that hadn't completed the Mission task and 0 counted.
I also gifted 12 Hung Chu Enforcers from that account and again the total was 0.
Now on to the drop rates of Hung Chu Enforcers. Depending on who you ask, they are not great or just plain horrid. From my Mission Walk Through post, I estimated that I spent about 7,000 energy to get all 12. I did a manual run on a different account taking before and after screen shots of my energy and spent 6,046 energy.
On another account, I ran RepeatJob. I stopped it as soon as the 12th item dropped and spent 10,080 energy. Only 11 logged on RepeatJob because the initial click on the job to get the program going dropped one. I found the first click on all my runs yielded a Hung Chu Enforcer. You might want to try very short runs spread out over time. There is plenty of time to complete this Mission.
A few players have stated that the Hung Chu Enforcers aren't dropping at all. If this is happening to you, contact Customer Support.

Yeah, it took me around 10,000 energy to get my 12 enforcers. - Dave Van
ReplyDeleteAfter spending 2320 energy and getting only 3 to drop I gave up on the mission altogether, just not worth it.
ReplyDeleteI a level 380 with 500 nrg after spend 3 full refill and get just 1 i complain to zynga about this issue and they complete the mission "impossible"
ReplyDelete6/90 (6.7%) 6x Hung Chu Enforcer
ReplyDeleteSo about 1000 energy per drop for this run.
yes it never drop for me!!!
ReplyDeletethey want us to buy RP.... i think
but now i didn't want this difficult event loot
i just let it go
huh
I spent 3500 energy and not 1 dropped, I sent a message to customer support and they completed the mission for me.
ReplyDeleteTotal waste of energy for this one. I have somewhere around 7,500 energy into it with 4 of the 12 items dropped. Skipping this one in favor of getting on with the rest of the game.
ReplyDeletecannot it depend on level or energy?
ReplyDeletei spent about 2500-3000 energy to get all of them
i have 3383 total energy. it cost me around 4 x 3383 to only get 10 items. and then it cost me another 3383 energy to get NOTHING! the next 2 items cost me another 2000 energy. WTF!
ReplyDeleteand some people said that if we complain to zynga, they can complete the mission? WHAT?!
