The Informant Podcast: Last Ditch Effort, Set the Forums On Fire!!

Share:

On Episode 56 of The Informant Podcast, Pistol Pete explains his Zynga Forum post that is getting some attention. The irony of it all is that some players on the forums were upset over the formation of the PAC because they felt Zynga was ignoring the great input and feedback from their venue. Pete felt the PAC wasn't being heard so went to the forums for his "last ditch effort". Let's hope Zynga listens to somebody in the player base before it's too late.

Default 4 Things to change and spark life back in the game.

My thoughts on four changes that could turn the game back around for players. Possibly even encouraging some to return and play again. I ask humbly for your feedback, since there is nothing I can do with it other than say "see, we are not off our rockers.". I am sure there are lots of other items but would these be a good jump start?

In no particular order.

1. Stagger events better
2. Full packs or minipacks give players the choice stam or Energy.
3. No popups in Fighting at min. A major kudo would be an info box that what went in pops goes in there no longer disrupting the gameplay.
4. Fix the fightlist Css/html to prevent screen jumping. So fighers can fight.

Pistol Pete took to the forums to propose 4 things that could be done to return the game to a fun state? Will Zynga listen? Jennifer covers bunches and bunches of changes from new to old and a few nerfs along the way. Chester and Jana cover the differences between those tags as a group vs. those tagged for families. Some ideas on how to treat such groups was recommended.

  1. I agree with what is written, however I doubt anyone at Zynga cares about what we want in the game. Everyday, I lose another mafia member because they keep screwing up the game.

  4. i seriously cant beleive u peple COMPLAIN about TOO much events?? shoot most games get NOTHING ever and at least zynga is trying to keep u entertained and u still cry and whine!! U do realize there are playwers who DO like all these events because we have finished ALL other aspects of the game except for repeated missions/operations..

get over it zynga IS trying and STOP trying to stop them from doing more.. if u cant keep up too bad...

  6. Zynga can bring on all the missions they want, I like those. But if you define fun as having to send and receive a bunch of silly stuff in order to get some loot (or else make the links and run a bunch in bagman mugger) then you really should get outside more. :) Now actually the biggest problem I have with collection events is that anyone can do them - so there is no competitive edge to them and in fact they just equalize everyone since most everyone with 501 mafia will get them done.
The complaint is over lame stuff versus interesting stuff like missions.

We all know the one way that Zynga will listen. Give players an advanced notice and then shut down the servers for 24 hours to let ZYNGA know where they would be without your, and thus the PACs, support
