2X Mastery Boost Nerf

Yesterday I showed you that the 2X Mastery Boosts worked in Brazil (1). Today they don't. This post was made when I thought they did but so many have asked me how to generate request links so I'll keep it intact so you can experience the nerf discovery.

Some players who are really smart and good with computers know how to generate requests for 2X Mastery Boosts. If they are in your mafia, you can benefit from their efforts. If you want to help your mafia and make these requests, Arvind Jain created a really good and easy to follow note which tells you exactly how to do it. Click here for instructions.

To search your news feeds for 2X Mastery Boost links, type in 2X Mastery Boost in the Facebook search bar, click on "See results for 2X Mastery Boost", then click on "Posts by Friends". You should get a list of posts made by your mafia members who generated 2X Mastery Boost links. If you don't have any it mens that nobody in your mafia has done this or they didn't add the term 2X Mastery Boost to their post.

You can accept 5 boosts from different players or all from the same person. Arvind makes it easy and posts 5 links at a time. I click on each link and verified that I got the boosts.

There isn't a notification that you actually got the boost so you have to go into your inventory to see it was added. In case you don't remember how to do this, go to your inventory page and click on the Boosts tab.

I activated my Strategist to gain the maximum amount of mastery but found that unlike yesterday, the Brazil Crew bonus doesn't work in conjunction with the 2X Mastery Boost.

I then did a different job since I was only 4% away from full mastery of the job above.

I had to do a double take because yesterday my 2X Mastery Boosts were used along side my Strategist bonus. You can see here the 4 jobs from above used the Strategist bonus.

None of my 2X Mastery Boosts were used!

This was not the case yesterday as I got 30% mastery from one job because both the Strategist and 2X Mastery Boosts were used at the same time. Maybe I shouldn't have made that post!

It gets even worse. Once I exhausted the 20 jobs for the Strategist bonus, I expect my 2X Mastery Boosts to kick in. Apparently they no longer work in Brazil. Since I've fully mastered everything else, what else are they good for? This is a big fat nerf!
