The Zynga Christmas Caper

Share:

Zynga has been mistakenly dropping loot like crazy during this holiday season.  Many players are learning that there is no holiday spirit when Zynga is on a mission to correct mistakes that favor one player over another.  Yesterday I told you about a few players who found that the loot items which are suppose to be in our Christmas presents were dropping at an awesome rate while performing one of the job in Italy (1).
My anonymous informer who documented his early progress sent me images of his new stats and his No Crime Like The Present page.  Enlarge the image to see the numbers after the word HAVE on each loot item.
Many of these players have received the following message from Zynga when they logged into their Mafia Wars account.
Customer Support provides further information on the MWStatsAdjustment Alert 12/22 Attack/Defense Strength page.
I also mentioned yesterday that the Christmas Tree upgrade parts that players were getting from fights and jobs were taken back and everyone started the No Crime Like The Present Event on an even playing ground. What kind of Christmas is this!

did they refund all the energy points that they happily let people sink into this?

    no, didn't think so. Typical.

Merry Christmas to you and all your readers, Jenn. Keep up the brilliant work (you too, Bossy ;)) in the New Year.

    cheers

  2. well i dont mind zynga correcting its mistake. apart from the fun detecting a loophole in the system those players know that it gives them an unfair advantage. so WTF - take the items back and close the hole. and yes, it would be better for the peace of the community if those holes would show up at all to begin with.

  3. Zynga's corrections were completely acceptable, under the circumstances.
