More on Carlito's Way

Some of the mysteries about Carlito's Way have been answered.  Carlito's Way is a knife named after the movie.  If you want it in your inventory, it will cost you 35 Reward Points.  So far this is the only item available in the Marketplace.  It says Carlito's Way Limited Edition Items and we saw pictures of 4 new loot items last night.  Either they are pacing the introduction of the other 3 items or there is a typo on the game and Items should say Item.

When you click on "Learn More", you are directed to the Universal Studios Entertainment website and are given the opportunity to purchase the DVD or Blu-ray of the movie Carlito's Way.  You can get the DVD for $7.98 and the Blu-ray for $14.98.  Sorry but I didn't learn anything more about this promotion and I'm still confused as to why a movie from 1993 is worthy of a promotional event.  This is a new twist on in game advertising but I still don't get why Universal Studios is worried about unloading all of their copies of Carlito's Way and what it has to do with Mafia Wars.  It's even more odd that the Blu-ray is currently on backorder.  Maybe I should watch this movie again.

Back to the weapon named Calito's Way.  The stats are great (76/44) but I think I'm good in the knife department.  This knife doesn't really look much different than all the others.

I was a little disturbed to discover that somehow I have acquired 7,527 Butterfly Knifes!  I guess it's time to fire up the Multi-Gifter and get rid of these.
