I noticed today that all my Mafia Wars invites on my Facebook request page looked different than they used to be. Now they say "I just signed you up to be my special recruit in Mafia Wars".
I sent a Mafia Wars invite to my energy account and saw that my invites were different as well.
I don't think my energy account needs any help with leveling up!
I guess because of the My Recruits feature I wrote about a few days ago
(1), Zynga decided to change all the invites. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense because most of the players we send invites to are already playing. Some players may feel insulted that we are offering to help them and "hook them up" with great rewards. Most of us already know this is a lie. Have you seen the "great reward" that we are suppose to hook our recruits up with? I really would like to know where to find someone on Facebook who has never accepted the Mafia Wars application and who would be willing to do so after getting a cheesy Mafia Wars invite from me.
