Masked Robbery: Bubba

The Masked Robbery feature started off with a glitch. There was no way to collect the bonus because the Silence Don Romo feature was in the spot where the Mask Robbery feature was supposed to be.  I waited until it was fixed to begin working on it.  Don Romo got bumped out of the message box and can be found below it.  The Masked Robbery feature is now located inside the message box.

 When you log in, you will get a pop-up

Click on "Get Started!" to begin and you be directed to the free gift page where you will have the option to request and send Bubba Masks.

You can also send and request Bubba Masks by clicking on the home page message box.

Simply wait until you get some Bubba Masks and start accepting them. Masked Robbery is way easier to finish than The Prized Pigs. When I checked my Message Center, there were Bubba Masks as far as the eye could see.

In addition to the Message Center, you can also accept the masks from your Facebook request page.  You should get two masks for every one that someone sends you.  I was able to verify this by accepting a Bubba Mask from Brian Scholzen from Facebook and Mafia Wars.  I waited until the start of the Silver Mask and sure enough, I got credit for both masks. There is also an option to collect additional masks from your news feeds. When you do thing in the game like jobs, you will get a bonus pop-up to publish to your wall. The first 5 friends to click on "Be a crook" will get a bonus mask, compliments of you. There are only 5 masks that can be claimed and you are only allowed to claim 3 (note, these were the numbers I got using my energy accounts and they have not been verified).

Just like with the pigs, accept you bonus loot item from the home page. You need 3 Bubba Masks to master the Bronze Level, 5 for the Silver Level, and 10 for the Gold Level. To read up on the loot items we will get during this event, read the article that Da Irish Kid (1) posted on this blog earlier today.  He did an excellent job so I won't need to go over the loot in this post.  Just remember that you only get one loot item and the scores increase at each level of mastery.

Every time you master a level, you have the option to "Tell Your Friends". This does nothing for anybody and only add junk to the news feeds. When players click on "Get your masks", they are directed back to their Mafia Wars home page.

If you wonder where the name Bubba came from, it's one of many nicknames that Americans used for President Bill Clinton.  Bubba is a common name used to describe a "good lo' boy" from the South.  Bubba liked the ladies and he got himself into some trouble.  Here is a funny video with some images of the real life Bubba.
