Loose Slots

Share:

A newly activated achievement badge means a new bookmarklet program by Spockholm Mafia Tools.  Loose Slots will help us help each other get the Hot Slots Achievement Badge which was activated on September 3rd (1).  You can see by my progress that it's going to take some time to get this one.  If my rate of players visiting my slot machine stays the same, it will take about 50 days to complete.
Hopefully we will all start using the Loose Slots bookmarklet and it won't take as long.  One of my mafia members had a strange thing happen when he used Loose Slots to play on my machine.  There seems to be a a Vegas Slot Machine glitch.  He created a customer support ticket and was told by Zynga that this is a known issue and they are working hard to fix it.
Loose Slots will load 500 of your Facebook friends into a list and attempt to play on their Vegas Slot Machines.  It takes no time at all and you will get cash and loot from the machines that pay out.  It also feels good to know that you helped 20 people get one step closer to The Hot Slot Achievement Badge.

To start using Loose Slots today, follow the steps below.  If you are new to using bookmarklet programs, review my articles on Bookmarklet Installation and Common Problems.

1. Go to the Spockholm Mafia Tools Experimental Page and locate Loose Slots.

2. Click, Drag and Drop Loose Slots into your bookmak toolbar.
3.  Go to your Mafia Wars game and from your bookmark toolbar click on Loose Slots once to unframe it.  All Facebook framing around your game should be gone.
4.  Click on Loose Slots again to activate the program.  Your screen will look like the image below.  The program works on any page.
5.  Be patient and wait for it to load your friends list.
6.  Click Start and wait.  Loose Slots will start visiting and playing on your mafia members slot machines.  It will stop once you have reached the daily limit of 20 visits.
7.  Review your logs when it's finished.
Stats:
Successful:  Tells you the number of slot machines you played and won something.
Failed:  Tells you the number and percentage of slot machines that you lost or weren't able to play.
-Not Setup:  Tells you how many attempts were on machines that weren't set up yet.  Not everybody has started Las Vegas and set up their casino.
-Nothing:  Tells you the number of machines that you played but didn't win anything.
-Spin Cap:  Tells you the number of machines that were already spun 3 times, meaning you can't play on them anymore.
Loot:  Lists the name and graphic image of any loot items you won and tells whose machine you got them from.
Log:  Lists the mafia members whose machines paid out and tells you how much Vegas currency you got.

If you want to create your own list so that you choose whose machines you want to play on, simply create a document listing the Facebook ID number and the name of the players you choose.  Since I've played on 20 friends machines today, I used my energy account to test this system out.  It doesn't matter where your list comes from.  You could do it manually or use a different bookmarklet to get it.  I used the List FB Friends Bookmarklet, selected MW playing, scrolled through the list, and copied 20 names of people I know who play everyday.  I then pasted the list to an inbox message.
When I used Loose Slots, I deleted the loaded list and pasted my own.
I only had 21 people on the list and 12 were successfully played on.  I had better results on this run.  3 sets of Flaming Shots and a Bark Scorpion.
Encouraging your mafia members to use Loose Slots and frequently asking your mafia to play on your machine should help you get your Hot Slots Achievement faster than doing nothing at all.
Special thanks to Pete Lundrigan (AKA Pistol Pete) for writing the bookmarklet and answering all my questions about it.

  6. Thanks for just a great explanation. For me this is just useless because I'm using Spockhom BMs everyday, but there's a lot of people who need this..

  10. Is this counting towards the achievement? My clan uses it but it doesn't count towards the achievement only towards the daily family progressions. Are we doing something wrong?

  11. I use this regularly, but it would be nice if it had a date/time stamp with the date/time of the last successful run, so you could know when to run it again. thanks for the work you have put into Spokholm.
