Zynga has created a brand new boost. This one is called the 2X Mastery boost. It's a whole elaborate process to give and receive these boosts. If you have one of these boosts in your inventory, when you do a job that is not mastered, you will get double the mastery percentage. 2X Mastery boosts will save you energy and consumables but they sure won't save you time. It's a whole elaborate process to give and receive them. If you've already mastered all the jobs, they will be useless to you.
There are two ways to begin the process of sending and receiving these boosts. The first way is to look on your Facebook gift page. You will see a request to help your friend.
When you click on "Help your Friend", you accept the 2X Mastery Boost and your friend will get one too.
To send 2X Mastery Boosts to your mafia, you have to wait for an in game message to appear while doing energy or fight jobs.
Now you have to stop doing jobs and click the "Ask for Boost" button and you will be directed to this page which looks like the gift page but it only contains one person to choose.
Send the request and repeat for the other two mafia members who make it on to your message. When they accept the boost, you will get one too.
I haven't gotten one yet but one of my mafia members, Mike Nestor was on top of this. He tested one of his boosts out. He did a job before accepting a boost and found he got 2% mastery.
After accepting a boost, he did the same job and got 4% mastery as well as another opportunity to send more boosts.
Now he had to go through the whole process I described above. When he finished, he was directed back to his job and the message said "Boosts Sent".
I finally got a 2X Mastery Boost of my own. I tested it out by doing a job that was already mastered. We are dealing with Zynga so I was very surprised to see that the boost was still in my inventory. Because of the drop rate for Vegas High End Loot doesn't improve much on the Silver, Gold, or Ruby Levels of mastery, many of us are staying on the Bronze Level until we get 500 of the best loot. It's nice to know we can load up on these and master the levels more quickly. I'm not sure if there is a cap on how many we can have in our inventory but I hope there isn't.
I like the 2X Mastery Boost and it's more useful than some of the others. I would prefer if it was on the gift page and didn't interrupt my game. I don't like to stopping something I'm doing to do something else. Maybe our script writing friends will figure out a way to make it easier.
It seems the limit is 5 per day...

it seems someone @ Zynga fixed the problem....
and i currently have 4 of these, i wonder how many i can pick up... if the current drop rates dont improve i could end up with enough of these to master the rest of vegas after getting 501 or each VHEL
I did get to send them and as I clicked 'ask for boost' I got a list to chose from which contained about 10 mafia members. I sent all of them did a few more jobs and got another one. This time the list also had about 10 people, mostly the same as last time! I sent to the ones that I found active in mafia wars (searched them on normal fb page). Got it a third time. Still about 10 people. Still many of them the same.

Regarding rubbish loot drop from armory, mine is level 10 and I am still getting the rubbish
ReplyDeleteWhen I receive a 2x Mastery Boost I can send it to anyone who has yet to receive one. I don't know if there is a limit to how many I can send it to so it is kind of frustrating to think that I sent them to everybody, but nobody received it. I don't appear to be receiving many back on my end.
