UPDATE: Here is what happened to the people who did not report themselves...This account was rolled back to what it as on 06/08/2010 the day prior to using the glitch. The person who owns this account purchased skill points with the reward points and used them for stamina. He does not remember how many stamina points he had so I can't report if he lost anything he legitimately earned. This again proves that Zynga CAN fix things in a timely fashion. What about all the other problems????
I chose not to report on this glitch because it had just been fixed when I wrote the following article. I hate to find out about a glitch that I missed. I'm still fuming over the robbing glitch in which anybody who clicked one time to rob a certain MW profile got enough money to get all the money related achievement badges! I've been working hard to get those and feel The What's After a Trillion is an impossibility.
Now I need to inform you about this because as I predicted, Zynga is not happy. They want to fix this ASAP. I wish they would fix the other problems but this is how they choose to spend their time and efforts. If you utilized the glitch, they are asking you to created a support ticket letting them know and they are threatening those who don't with account rollbacks. What is the big deal to go through all this trouble??? Yes some players got 700 reward points and many are jealous but come on, is it really this monumental of an issue? I have only heard of one report in which the person who chose to report himself got a response from Zynga thanking him for his honesty and gave him a chain viper!!!! They also rolled back some of but not all the skill points he used. I will update you if I hear about anymore reports of rollbacks which I'm sure will create a big mess as those people will also lose things that they rightfully earned.
If you choose to report yourself and don't know how to create a Zynga Customer Support Ticket, learn how by reading my article titled Create a Zynga Customer Support Ticket

Sorry to report that I'm late on informing you of a glitch that has been fixed about 10 minutes ago. Players were rewarded a Tagged compensation package for entering a code under the "Tagged Players" option of the help drop bar. This was due to yet another Zynga glitch where the same code was working for any account weather you were once a Tagged Social Network player or not. Compensation packages included reward points, energy packs, hired guns and loot. You shouldn't be upset if you missed the glitch. Be happy for your family members who didn't but know that Zynga is going to be upset about this and will probably take some type of action in the form of take backs like we saw with the last reward point glitch. In that case, reward points were taken away from people who obtained them in a legitimate manner. It was a big mess and I'm sure this will be too.

Greetings Mafia Fans,
Yesterday for a short period of time, users were utilizing a code that granted points isolated for Tagged users to migrate to Facebook.
We have fully tracked this issue and contained all accounts. These accounts currently have two options for action.
1) Accounts that contact support and have not spent the reward points will have their accounts adjusted to reflect proper totals. support. Ticket Subject: "Tagged Code Glitch"
2) Accounts that do not contact support will have their account rolled back to a previous save. (some experience & item loss may occur for these users)
For users wishing to contact support please do so immediately, if we start the roll back process and you have not contacted support your account will be rolled back to a previous save.
We will be working to have this entire issue cleared up within the next 48 hours. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we rectify the misplaced points.
Thank you,
The Mafia Wars Team

I used the code, Zynga F's up all the time in thier favor. Thier programming sucks ass and this is something that they could have and should have prevented if they didn't want it to happen. I proffessionally programin the same language they use and if I coded them, I'd be out of work. They rolled me back 2 days. If they logged it so well, then why didn't they just undo it, why roll the whole account back? Ya they know what they are doing, not! This may be it for me. Now the animal thing and all the things I built up and I can get by butt beat by players that couldn't before. What really is the point. It's one thing to move the carrot once in a while to keep things interesting and another to just remove the carrot and expect people to still chase it.
ReplyDeleteremember, mw was written by a ten-year old in his basement, and has more holes in it than a ten lb block of swiss cheese ... (from the hitler mw rant on youtube) ... what can you expect?
