Slaughter Season 19: VIP Tier Added

Share:

The 19th Slaughter Season is now available. A VIP tier was added so VIP subscribers need to get 10,000 Pennants instead of 6,000. Zynga loves to cater to their script using VIP subscribers but they forget about the ones who don't use them and this won't be appreciated. If you use scripts this event is super easy so I guess they are trying to make it more difficult.  If your ices come from the Arena you will need to burn 6,000,000 (10,000,000 for VIPs) stamina to get it done (1 Pennant = 2 ices = 1,000 stamina). Using the fight list may require less stamina but it will take much longer. Either way you choose, there are a total of 7 days to get it done (8 for VIPs).  The badge and loot rewards are granted once the season expires. If you need more details on how Slaughter Seasons work, go here. A closer look at the loot rewards can be found here. At this time we don't know if the VIP players who get 10,000 Pennants will get 2 loot items or just 1. We do know that the VIP Membership Program is equating to more work for those who are subscribed. Zynga doesn't get that less is more and maybe VIP players don't want to pay to have more Mafia Chores!

  1. Zynga graced us with an extra day - we have 8 days to finish this one :)

But this is just utterly crazy - I am a VIP and I play manually...and I am having a VERY hard time seeing the benefits in this... a REAL benefit for the VIPs would have been if we got 5-%2%% off the ices required in the same amount of time... depending on your VIP tier... now THAT would have been a REAL benefit... making life EASIER for the VIPs... NOT harder, haha... but I guess Zynga doesn't get that.

And if this is an attempt to make it harder for the 24-7 Demon abusers... Zynga needs to make it 1,000,000 pennants in 7 days... then even the hard core abusers would have to play this event for at least a couple of days before completing it :P

Or, they could put this on on a gradient... like jobs... so that your stamina pool dictates the amount of ices you would need to acquire... that would be fair... coz right now... people with 1000 stamina stands no chance in Hell finishing this event... and all the talk from Zynga about leveling the playing field making everything equal and fair... I am having a hard time finding the equality and fairness in someone with 1000 stamina and someone with 1,000,000 stamina need to get the same amount of ices... could you explain that to the ones who do NOT get that, Zynga??

    1. Typo: It should have said... 5% - 25% off the ices required

    2. I for one am tired of thinking that everything should be based on how much energy or stam you have. If things would have remained level based then we would not be dealing with things like LA. It takes away any incentive to build energy when it only increases the cost per click. I switched to build stam over energy for that reason. Now the missions base your stam required tasks on how much you have. Where is the incentive to grow. I used to add energy and stam to make things easier, now everything is harder. 10,000 ices? Not a chance I will hit 6000 so 10 is out of the question. I like to finish things so when everything becomes unobtainable why bother to play at all.

    3. So you think it's perfectly fair that a low level 1,500 with 1,000 stamina has to meet the same icing requirement as a level 150,000 who has 1,000,000 stamina? That to you is FAIR?? Wow...

    4. no I dont think its fair. As indicated I think level based is fair. Level based requirements would not assume that a level 1500 would have 50,000 stam.

    5. No, but a level 50,000 could be sitting with 5,000 stamina...

So anyone adding to attack and defense... and not so much stamina and energy would generally be fooked if you got your way? As mentioned above, a level 50,000 could easily be sitting with only 5,000 stamina, because most went into energy and/or attack and defense (fighting account) but to you that is okay? As this player CHOSE to allocate his skills the way he did he only has himself to blame? I see your point... and it would be fair... if not for one small problem. Zynga. They have turned this game from a fighting game and turned it into an insane event fest - requiring insane amounts of energy and stamina... so, unless you give rat's ass about events, that would be fine for you... but, if you wanna fight AND do events, you're pretty much screwed either way... I know a lot complain about the tasks being determined based on E and S pools, because it takes away the incentive to add to those stats...and I agree,... but your suggestion is in many ways as bad as mine... however, if things were the way I am suggesting, you would be seeing low leveled players having much more fun in the game as they would be able to complete theses events too... it's a doubled edged razor... some will always complain... but shouldn't we choose the path that most players would benefit from? And I suppose we could argue what path that should be...

  2. What utter nonsense you pout! If anyone only has 1000 stamina, they seriously need to add to it if they want to do these events. Every player has a choice where to put their skill points. If a player chooses to allocate skills to energy, attack, defence or health, why should they be able to compete with a high stamina account? Should my attack/strength also be put on some kind of gradient so that I can compete with fighters even though I never bothered to add to attack or defence?

    1. How many level 500-1000s do you know have +50,000 stamina? I am curious to know that...

  3. With the introduction of elite tier... I guess it won't be long before the Zynga monkeys figure out to add an Elite VIP tier too :P And it will NOT end here... now that they have created a VIP tier for Slaughter Season... how about adding VIP and Elite VIP tiers to Extortion Runs... Global Properties... Operation events... and all kinds of events too... brace yourself... VIPs are in for a rough ride ahead :P

  4. Sounds like a plan if it means VIPs get better rewards and therefore an advantage for doing a bit of extra work, wasn't the point of becoming a VIP to get better rewards for playing Mafia Wars ??, I for one will play until it bores me, and then move on , ATM I like when they bring 3 or 4 event out at the same time , there is normally a crossover so you can complete 2 events for doing the same job , and if not, 1 stamina event and 1
energy event works just as well, and one last point those "funny" cat videos on youtube are clearly fake :)
