Two days ago items for another 7 Day Deal and Urban Assault Mission were added to the inventory [1]. Today all of them were removed. I've seen Zynga update the stats of items if there is a delay for the release of the event but I've never seen them totally remove items. What this means, I don't know. If you do an inventory search for any of these items, nothing will show up. Two days ago, they were all there. I do have screen shots of all of them so if they come back, we can see if there are any changes. It's unlikely Zynga decided to cancel events of any type, they just can't help themselves!

Very odd indeed. Another sign perhaps that a shut down is imminent? Yesterday it was the game cards... today items are being removed, which could indicate a cancellation of those events... and as you pointed out - it's not in Zyngas vocabulary to cancel anything - unless they have a good reason... like a shut down?
ReplyDeleteWhile yes it's unlikely they will just cancel events it wouldn't be the first time. There is a page on the mafia wars collectors site dedicated to canceled items. I know it's not been updated in quite some time and other stuff should be o there by now as well but it's a good start.
ReplyDeleteLot of people on there official blog complaining about the amount of events on the post where they tell people about the new fight changes coming soon in LA. Maybe they have seen these comments and decided that seeing as fighters are there biggest source of income from this game it might be a wise idea no to piss them off too much.
Released in error far too soon would be my guess, or, with any luck, maybe it is the closing of the game. Zynga can't expect to ignore what their customers want and get away with it forever. They wouldn't be in business if it weren't for the players that keep the game alive, but poor customer service has been what they've been providing all along, and it seems it is finally catching up to them. Even addicts know when to say enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteSad. I really like Urban Assault so maybe there is just a delay and an update of loot? I really hope that the complainers don't kill the game :(
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid they are and will kill the game
DeleteYou really hope the complainers don't kill the game??? Haha, sorry for laughing here... but the complainers haven't killed anything... I mean, how could they? Scripts killed this game years ago... along with cheaters and their ability to e.g. clone loot, thereby leaving trading obsolete... no, kind anonymous person... scripts and lazy ass cheaters (who all claim they love this game) are what killed this game... the complaining came AFTER... get the facts straight
DeleteWell said!
DeleteIt looks like our lovable freeloading troll is back at it..Haha!!
